middleimg src="http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/Boricua_bob/Elite_Beat_Agents_Cover_Art.jpg"/middle middleEver since I got Elite Beat Agents, I can't put the game down. Other games became absolite to me, I put down my iPod, I stopped having breakfest (no Fred, I can't take your Pebbles today, or your cereal), but most of all I've stopped caring./middle middleIn the beginning, you start off in a tutorial simulation, which is ok if it weren't...so...slow. You'll tap, slide, spin, and then tap-slide-spin until you get into the real meat of the game. You'll be asigned with a group of 'Agents,' who will save the face of humanity with a little jig. Once you finish all of the storylines for all three difficulties (first starting with two), you'll have the opportunity to dance it out all over again with *gasp* 'Divas!'/middle middleLet's check out the characters you get to dance as. There's 'Spin,' the new kid on the block who looks a lot like Will Smith's early Men In Black years. "J," the main character and the guy on the cover, is a skillful dancer whose "styles of dance range from hip-hop to ballet." That's one graceful gangsta-wait, is that a mullet? "Chieftain" is a dancer who looks like he wants to bring back the elusive cowboy. No chance on that buddy. Then you got Three divas, two background dancers, and Commander Kahn who, unlike Khan from StarTrek: The Movie 2, isn't a dick. But who really cares when your never gonna what their stories are, and that your just playing the same games over and over again, with different people and difficulty./middle middleYet Elite Beat Agents is one of those games that has everything you'd want in a game. And although the game is in definate need of a DDR makeover, you'd have to agree with me that your not gonna want to dance to Ashlee Simpson's 'La La' or Cher's 'Believe. But no matter the music you play, you'll love how they make the touch screen into a dance mat, with excellent replayabilty, quirky storylines (One story takes place where you're helping a retired baseball player turned janitor defeat a fire-breathing golem, and all you do is cheer him on to the end.), and the need to just wave your hands in the air like you don't care. But you're going to have to get used to game, since the difficulty is high, and you will have to do a lot of memorization. Still, with the loss of a training mode (tutorial doesn't count), this is one of the greatest DS games out there, and can easily become a killer app./middle middleOne thing I hope Nintendo does is put the same gameplay into the Wii. It probably would be a good game if it were on the Wii, having many of the same characteristics made from the DS. Also, if they make a sequel, they should definatly add a bigger library by using it's Wifi capabilities to make an iTunes-like store where you can earn songs through rank and points, like 360's achievment system. And if they make a sequel with Wifi, then Nintendo should make a replay board to go with it so you can strive to be better. You see, once you play this game, you would never want to let go of it. This is a game you should get./middle middlestrongScore: 4.25 out of 5/strong/middle strongThefont color="blue"iGood/i/font:/strong Quirky storylines. strongThefont color="red"iBad/i/font:/strong Where's the training mode? strongWha?:/strong Where's Thriller? *Written on 11/17/06. This game is amazing. Screw whath the other say. I don't care that the easiest mode is tough, which is what you have 2 play on your first try unless you want a major whooping. Highly recommend it

Definitely a great game. A must have if you own a Nintendo DS. I just picked it up yesterday for my lite, and yes, it is definitely worth it. It helps you get in touch with the side of you that thrives for rhythm.Trust me, you will not be disappointed. The story is a bit weird, but it does add a comical atmosphere to the game. You are basically a group of agents that perform choreographical moves to the song's rythm, which is fairly obvious. You are required to use the DS stylus and time the beats depending on what song you are listening to. Even if you don't like the story, the game is completely adaptable and easy to pick up. my only gripes with this game would be the music being mostly to one genre. The songs are catchy, but it lacks a hip-hop or disco-esque sense to it, which would make this game true to its name to another degree. All in all, you'd be a fool to miss this title.

Elite Beat Agents is one of the most original rhythm games to arrive in quite some time. Considering that it's a Nintendo DS game, and that the music had to be compressed to fit on a tiny game card, it's also a technical marvel. The general idea behind Elite Beat Agents is that you (and your team of agents) are sent to fix certain bad situations... by dancing. Yes, it's a silly premise... but so are the situations. In fact, many of the storylines are pretty humorous and are represented via comic-book style storyboards. The gameplay engine is powered by stylus taps and drags. If you were one of the 15 people who played Technic Beat on the PS2, you'll have a minor advantage. The idea is that there are beats that need to be tapped... but, in order to stay in rhythm, you have to wait for a surrounding circle around the beat to overlap the outer edge of the beat itself. Other beats (drum rolls) are performed by dragging a ball through a tube. It sounds odd, but it is easier in practice. With four difficulty levels, it's easy to learn to play and then really challenge yourself. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of Elite Beat Agents is the sound. Although the original music tracks are not present, over a dozen covers of pretty well-known songs are contained in this game, spanning from disco to dance to rock. These aren't snippets, either... these are 2-3 minute songs in entirety. The sound quality is slightly dull, but still impressive as compared to what other games on the DS have had to offer in terms of sound. There are only a couple of minor things that keep Elite Beat Agents from nailing down that perfect 5.0 rating. Stylus tapping can be somewhat imprecise at times, keeping you from hitting those high scores that you're shooting for. Also, in higher difficulty levels, the touch screen can get extremely busy and just too tough to follow. Despite these nitpicks, Elite Beat Agents is easily the best rhythm game available on a handheld system and is arguably one of the best games of its type on any system, handheld or not.

I wasn't so sure about getting this game, but it turned into a great choice. Sure it looks corny, but it's definently a fun filled game. You may even laugh and have fun once you open up to it. Gameplay: 5. You played or seen DDR. Same concept but with a stylus. You hit the number in order of the cirle number has as the incompassing circle around the numbered circle closes and when it closes in on the circle thats when you tap as the music plays to it. It's hard to describe but once you play it, it's great fun. Graphics: 3. It's presented in a comic book style scenes telling the story. It can be quite hilarious at times. Sound: 4. It's your cover songs of your popular today's pop rock music. Can be annoying at first but when your in the groove, you don't mind anymore. Overall: 4.5. It may look stupid, corny, call it whatever you want but this game is fun. Entertaining through every level. Warning, you must have rythm
