The amount of things you can do in the game is what makes it fun. You can fly from place to place fighting enemies. Also if fallows the whole DBZ story excellently. The moding of the characters are amazing. Plus the amount of characters is just enormous. When it cuts from gameplay to a cinimatic is really smooth too. If I was a public relations person for this game, I think it would be easy to get people to play it because it already is damn fun to play. I cant wait for Tenkaichi 3 to come out.

I think DBZ2 is a great game but could use some improvements. Main in the controll set up. It is relly diffult to preform some move and when I trying to use Dragon Fist I end up doing Metor Smash instead. If they Can get the controll set up right this would be a perfect figthing game in my opiona.
Um, wow.

Okay, i am personaly not a fan of Dragon ball Z. Or GT, or just regular dragon ball for that matter. But this game kicks major saiyan A$$.(Sorry for the lame dollar signs. ;>) Just, oh my god. There is OVER, over mind you, 120 Characters in this game. It's like, Holy S#*t! But, the downside is, they are hard as HELL ti unlock. Some of them you have to fuse "Z-items" to make them. It took me a long time but i beat it. And by a long time i mean, like, 3 months. But yeah, anyway, ther isn't many stages in the game. It is long. Very long. Some of the fights in "Dragon Adventure mode" just pissed me off. Like, at one point you have to fight "Vegeta" who had just transformed into a GIANT FREAKING APE!!!!!!! Only because he's a little biotch. But yeah it was a good game.

Intro- Wow were to start... Sound 9/10- So maney Veriety of sounds from charging a kamehameha to the calm music that comes on when you hit the options menu Graphics 9.5/10- In terms of cell shaded graphics this is great! When you flying at 80 miles per hour you look like it. The movement of the fighters are clean and not choppy. 1-P 6/10- A big fail on the games part. Its repetitive and too easey. 2-P 8/10- Very fun untill the 8th time in a row you played it. Then Your Captin Ginu b/c your so bord of the fighters you been useing. Controll 6/10- Very hard to understand at first but then gets you off your feet when you figure it out. Over all 4.5/5

I picked this title up because I love anime and the previous Budokai games were decent in my opinions, so I gave the Wii edition a try. Let me start off by saying that you shouldn't purchase this game if you don't plan on spending a good hour trying to adapt to the Wii controls. I had to go through the training which took over an hour just to learn how to pull of simple combos. Once you master the controls though, it's a vary fluid experience and you'll not want to go back to playing the DBZ games with a standard controler, altough you do have the option to play the game with a gamecube controller, but it's clunky. Graphically, this is one the best looking Wii games out currently, the cell-shading is amazing and captures the looka and feel of the anime series perfectly. The game also has a ton of content. It has a huge story mode, that still is far from perfect but it's the best out of all the DBZ games. The story mode spands the entire Dragonball timeline up to GT. There's also the tournament mode, training, and many others. The game also has a RPG element to it, that let's you upgrade your character throughout the game. So, in closing, you should pick this game up if your a DBZ fan without a doubt, everyone else should give it a rent before a purchase.
A must have for the Wii

Where to start? This is what fighting games should be all about. An Infinate list of characters, new and excellent controls, and a great anime series to boot. These qualities and more are what makes DBZ BT2 a must have for the Wii. Where else can you beat up a golden king kong inpersonater with a clown dwarf that throws rocks with his mind? No where, thats where. Lets start off with the one player mode. It is extremly vast and endless. You take a trip the the Dragon Ball Z world starting from when Raditz encounters Picallo, to well after the Buu saga. This, along with many extra side stories and alternate reality tales, will keep you happy and entertained for hours of fun and intense action. Where this game really excells in though, is in its two player battles. First, before I talk about that I need to tell you about the controls. While there is a steep learning curve, if you master the controls it will be well worth it. To perform a Kamehameha (sorry if I mispelled that)you hod down the B and Z Buttons and quickly move the wiimote towards you, then forward. This allows for the fell that you are actually Goku using his signature move. Now back to the two player. In two player there are so many characters to chosse from that if I had to name them all it would take a good ten, twenty minutes. The arenas in which you fight in are also very responsive to the damage dealt to them by awol attacks. All-around as I stated before this is what all games want to be, Fun, new, and action packed
Addictive,Simpilistic, fun as hell

Not being a Dbz fan I got interested after watching a few episodes of kamehamehas and dodon rays. I bought Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and was happily able to learn everything I ever needed to know about Dbz just by playing story mode. The Dragon Adventure mode goes through the entire Dbz and Gt sagas making a very long playing experience. The world map feature seems pointless but, is a nice distraction I suppose. The controls are easy to pick up for some and frustratingly difficult for others. Fortunately I got a handle on the special moves and combos very easilly. To perform most special moves just hold both triggers and swish the wiimote left to right, up and down or pull it back and push forward. Combos are also fairly easy to learn and pull off. Flying is kinda difficult and hardly used since all the moves and attacks knock characters in the air and just by using the auto rush move you fly into the air automatically. The graphics are fairly standard anime cell shading so no surprises there. The multiplayer is the most addictive and fun I've ever had in a fighting game. It literally feels and looks like Dbz when you play it. I'd perform a 20 hit combo then knock away my opponent then unleash a big bang kamehameha sending him several miles away. It's just that fun.
I am dissapointed...

Well, you know Atari. Gives us so many hopes, hypes it up to an unimaginable extent, and...dissapoints us. Unfortunately, this time was no different. DBZ: BT 2 was a put down from the first BT. The major thing: putting it on the Wii the way they did. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the Wii, and I think this was a great system to put it on. But, they just didn't do it right. The whole "wide-open" fighting arena just doesn't fit in with the Wii, and the controls are sticky. I did not like that you had to do a whole pilates routine to pull of a Kamehameha wave. The thing with DBZ is that the controls have always been simple, WILL always be simple, and SHOULD always be simple. Atari just didn't do the job right on the Wii. The controls were too complicated, and the whole movement was messed up. Another thing also: They should have sticked with the story mode from BT 1. It was a much more fun experience, that having to go around this ridiculous map to find every single thing. The fighting procedures were outrageous, and the whole atmosphere of the game was a mess. Of that now, the good thing of the game were the number of fighters to choose from (OVER 100+!!!), and the story was true to the anime and manga. A sequel is supposed to be better than the first. This one just didn't do it. Next time, put BT 3 on the 360 or PS3. The Wii is a great console; it just isn't a place for BT. BT is based on button combos and mashing, of which the Wii has too much innovation to do.
Gives me chills just writin about it!
