I thought that Wii sports was awesome, the graphics, the motion, everything was phenominal, and plus what could go wrong with a free game! oh and by the way if u live in the overland park, kansas area then haul butt over to the Wal- Mart by Blue Valley High School to play the Wii, because on 12/16/06 a Nintendo Rep. is coming by to set a Wii up for play, but only on that day, so have fun!
Love it!!!!!!!!!

Here we have a whole lot of up's and not so many downs. We have a free game, that has a replay value thats almost unlimited. As many friends who dont own a Wii is about 1/20 the aomunt of play you'll get out of it. With a fitness test and medals system to add challende to the training this title gives you something to shoot for. Make a few Mii's and you've got yourself tons of fun. A great introduction to how many sports titles will be played and a perfect point to sell the Wii's "gimmick" control scheme. Find yourself a skeptic? Play a friends! Sure the graphics are basic, but they're free and the fun dosent come from the pretty pictures but the control scheme. Dont like it, dont play it. But the only reason not to like it is graphics and well, thats a weak reason.
A great and simple introduction to the Wii

Well, the Wii is finally upon us, and what better game to introduce us to this wacky new control scheme than the quirky title Wii Sports? At first I was a little hesitant on the quality of this game, and the fact that it was essentially being forced on us didn't help matters. It looked a little dull simplistic. But I can now say with confidence that the vast majority of these doubts have been put to rest. Nintendo is really on to something with Wii Sports, and once you play it, you will see. Playing = believing couldn't be a more true slogan for Nintendo to use. Nintendo has made me a believer with Wii Sports. As you probably know, Wii Sports is not just one game, but actually a compilation of games (although very small, simplistic games). These games are not all winners, but a few of them really shine, and make great use of the Wiimote. Bowling is an example of this. It's a great bowling sim that allows you to swing the wiimote just as if you were bowling - and measures it surprisingly accurately. You can even put spin on your ball. Tennis comes in a close 2nd. It's a fun game, especially for multiple players, although lacks depth. Baseball is like this as well, and the 1:1 movements with the bat are impressive. Boxing is also a blast for the most part, though it controls slugishly and slow. Golf isn't so great. Not only is it lacking in depth, the controls are iffy, and it's difficult to measure the strength of your backswing. After enjoying many hours of Wii Sports with friends and family, it is now clear to me why Nintendo decided to pack in this game. It's the perfect introduction to the Wii's capabilities, for both gamers and nongamers. Sure the games are watered down, and lack depth, but this game is about quick pick up and play. If you can get past this fact, and some minor control issues for a few of the games, and appreciate Wii Sports for what it is, you'll truely fall in love with this game.
Oh yeah, the pack-in game!

This game is very fun to play. The simplicity of the sports may make your parents want to try them! Swing a club in golf, bowl for strikes in bowling, swing and pitch in baseball, hit lobs and slices in tennis, and knock out your friends in boxing. There are also two other things. Wii Fitness, which measures your fitness age instead of you brain age, tests you on different aspects of physical fitness. There is also a training mode, which has a lot of fun mini-games for each sport, which are meant to help improve you in actual games itself. They are very addicting. Plus playing with your Mii makes it a lot more fun. This is a game best played with two or more people. You'll never go out to play sports in the hot sun again thanks to Wii Sports. By the way, its a free game!
Thumbs up!

I waited in line last night for at least 2 hours, before going home due to some troubles. I went searching around, and finally got a ticket at Best Buy. This led to an hour or so of paranoia looking at those who couldn't get a Wii, hoping they wouldn't attack me for my ticket. Despite that, I can say, for the system and Wii sports, It is worth. Consisting of five different games (Wii Tennis, Golf, Boxing, Bowling, and Baseball)it happens to be a great title to start out you Wii console. Playing the games gives us a glimpse of the innovative new features the Wii brings into gaming. The controls feel great, and all the games are family friendly (it happens to be a great game to bet your guy, gal, or family member into gaming.). Despite all that, all of these sports feel more like glorified tech demos alone, than full games. Thank goodness you get 5 sports, adn it comes with your Wii. All in all, its a fun title, and makes the Wii package a better deal over all. (Cheers.)
