The game is simply a masterpiece. Unfortunately I was recovering from an operation when I got this game, and when I play it now, it kind of depresses me. It's so odd. The gameplay with the gravity is so innovative, and the levels are so well done. This game is a video game masterpiece. Unfortunately by the logic of some, this game is not technically a video game, because it's not a 1st person shooter and you don't get to blow anyone's head off.

I wasn't much for the Wii when it came out, but this game really is something. I mean I could replay it over and over and it's still fantastic. The colorful world comepletly captivates the heart and soul. This game is gorgeous, I don't care if it's the Wii or not. The gameplay is so addictive in fun you can't stop. I really like the upside down gravity as wel. The level are well varied, with levels from space junkyards to water raceways. You can't miss this amazing gamw!

This is the greatest Mario game ever. It may even be the best Wii game ever.

SOARING THROUGH SPACE.
This game is absolutely beautiful. The graphics rock. The idea of hopping from planet to planet rocks. Everything about this game rocks...

SAME OLD PROBLEMS
Almost. The game is still just the same old Peach saving thing we have been playing since the original. It's still fun, just a little too much of the same.

PLUMB-FANTASTIC!
This game will absolutely be worthe the $30.00 you spend on it. All Wii owners, go out and buy this game NOW!

An Out-Of-This-World Masterpiece!

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals Not enough content

Super Mario Galaxy may appear from its title and boxart that Nintendo has officially gone crazy, but when you open up the case and pop it into your Wii, you will be playing what is probably the best game on the Wii to this date. The game is just that good. Galaxy is probably more of a sequel to the classical Super Mario 64 that brought Mario into 3D, and this game sends Mario on an out-of-this-world adventure through space recovering Power Stars in order to save Princess Peach. The gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, with all the moves introduced in previous 3D Mario outings returning to this game (excluding the F.L.U.D.D. from Sunshine). Super Mario Galaxy is played with a simple control scheme that feels like motion controls weren't forced into the game, something that many Wii games lack. The graphics? Don't ask. They're AMAZING. The reflections are like nothing you've ever seen on the Wii, and the and detail put into the game is simply outstanding. What's more, is that the game also features a superior soundtrack, with beautifully arranged orchestral pieces with amazing quality. The game doesn't really have any significant flaws, except that the 2P Co-op Mode isn't really that amazing, but is there so if a second player is in the room, he can join in on the action by collecting Star Bits and freezing enemies for Player 1. Also, the lack of unlockables is rather disappointing, the only things you actually unlock are a new power-up, Luigi as a playable character (which you have to replay the entire game as him if you choose to use him after unlocking him), and a secret level after collecting all the Power Stars in the game. In the end, Super Mario Galaxy is the best game on the Wii by far, with almost no flaws. It's an amazing game, and obviously deserves a 5/5.

The Mario we all know and love

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals
Awesome audio
Addictive gameplay
Tight controls

Just plain fun

This game is vintage Mario: The controls are immaculate, the worlds are varied and engaging, and the innovation is constant. How many games allow you to roam about a near-infinite variety of celestial bodies, make gravity your plaything, and experience the sheer joy of exploring the cosmos? Mario games, at their core, invite all audiences, but yield their ultimate secrets to only the most experienced or determined players; this game is no different. Each level allows you to dip a toe into the proverbial waters and earn enough stars to progress to successive levels, but true fans will revel in the ability to tackle the challenge of speed-runs, one-hit deaths, and more. The visuals are nothing less than what one would expect from Nintendo's best, while the symphonic score is both whimsical and evocative. If you feel that videogames of late have lost their magic, give Mario Galaxy a try- it is the essence of what makes us want to stay up late at night, playing just to see what's around the corner.

Ballistic!

Not sure if that title is the correct word to use for this game. For anyone starting on the Wii that wants a great representation of what the system has to offer, this is the one! Probably the best Wii game written to date, Super Mario Galaxy carries on the tradition of the Mario legacy above and beyond. Addictive gameplay and challenging for all ages. If I could only choose one game to keep, this would be it!

Own a Wii? Don't own this game? Why the hell not? If you've got yourself a wii hooked up a tv, then there is no reason for you to not buy this game. It is just so gorgeous to look at (especially for a wii title). The level design is so awesome and probably has the best Wii controls other than Twilight Princess.

In other words..why do you still own a Wii but not this game? What are you waiting for?

A Must-Have Title for the Wii

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals
Awesome audio
Addictive gameplay
Just plain fun

This game has some of the most mind-blowing graphics to date on the Wii. You'll see some familiar faces along with some new ones, and it'll be sure to have you entertained for hours on end. Although it's still the classic, cliche storyline, it's still definitely a title any Wii owner should have in their collection

this game has probably the biggest and most outstanding variety of gameplay. Nintendo did a great job on the controls, and made clean and virtually impressive graphics to match. This was the defiant mario game of all. This proved mario can get the job done. The only flaw is no multiplayer but the power ups and stages and amount of content match up to that

Must Own Wii Title

Pros Cons
Amazing visuals
Loads of content
Addictive gameplay

Just plain fun

If you own a Wii you have to buy this game. It is the best Mario game since the N64. The motion controls are very innovative and the visuals are great. My only complaint is that there is no multiplayer option (except for the lame star shooting thing), but I'm not sure how good a multiplayer option would be in a mario game. So if you love Mario and own a Wii go buy this game, NOW!
