Super Mario Galaxy isn't just the Wii's best game... it's the best game of the decade.
Super Mario Galaxy is as good as platforming games get, or any games for that matter. The controls, graphics (the best on Wii), and incredible bosses (including one that you walk on) make up for its shortcomings (bad storytelling most of all) and produce a game that feels like classic Mario, yet simultaneously innovates. The game is just amazing, and it overshadows quite probably any game I've played since the N64 and PSOne with its expert crafting. More importantly, it reinforces why Mario is the mascot of a company as beloved as Nintendo. No gimmicks, no novelty -
Super Mario Galaxy is a classic lon the level of the original Super Mario Bros.
Mario is back and better than ever.

Super Mario Galaxy is everything Super Mario Sunshine wasn't, and nothing Sunshine was. Everything about this game is simply wonderful, and adds up to a great platformer that perfectly fits on the Wii. The beautiful graphics and the insanely fun gameplay will leave you breathless.
Galaxy still sticks with the same story as other Mario games: Beat all the big bad Koopas and save the princess. But only this time, your in space. You must travel across different worlds and gain as much Stars as you can and confront Bowser for the final showdown. During the story, you meet little star creatures called Lumas, and their mother, Rosalina. And there is also a significant difference in the story from other Mario games. Remember sweet ol' Luigi? The one you've been dying to play as for years? Well Nintendo has finally answered your wishes. Once you collect all 120 stars and defeat Bowser, a message pops up and tells you what you've wanted to hear: "You can now play as Luigi in Story Mode."
The gameplay is very similar to that of Super Mario 64's, but with multiple twists. When you see a star launcher during a level, you can jump into it and blast through the planet. This is probably the most satisfying part of the game. To collect far away Star Bits, you must point the Wii Remote toward them, and they will automatically come to you. The game is also known for defying the laws of gravity. You can run around the planet as much as you want, and some planets even allow you to change the gravity direction. While some levels can be frustrating, some can be very simple to complete, and the final boss is one of those levels, though it's is still an entertaining fight. The level design is also what makes this game very special. The planets are very different from each other with their own wacky little tricks. But the gameplay isn't perfect by any means. You will occasionally experience frustrating camera problems, and multiplayer feels like something that was just slapped on to the game at the last minute. And while you'll probably have a blast playing it, there's a 99.5% chance you'll never pick the game up again once you unlock everything and beat every level.
The graphics in Mario Galaxy are absolutley gorgeous , they are just beautiful to look at. Instead of being a dark game with a lack of color, Galaxy is one of those games that make just about every color a sight to see. The water graphics are simply outstanding, not just a paint of blue you can float in. Even underwater, everything is very clear, the water not making it difficult to see at all. The characters look very well-made with a bright shine of colors shining off them. All in all, this may be one of the most beautiful and colorful games on the Wii.
If your a Wii owner desperately in search of games, then look no further than Super Mario Galaxy. If the graphics won't "wow" you, then the gameplay surely will. No Mario fan should be caught dead without this game in their collection. Now only one question remains: Will the next Super Mario game be just as great as Galaxy?

I rented mario galaxy a couple of days ago and noticed that it wasn't much of a challange. I beat 50% of the game in just 5 days! Even though it was easy it was strangley addicting and extreamly fun. Even though the visuals didn't look real at all, it looked veary colourful and bright. But the only bad part anbout the game is the multiplayer. All the second player does is collect stars. That's the only part which is $#*!.

Look, sure this game is cool and fun, but it was NOT the best game of 2007. If u measure this up to Assassins Creed or God of War 2, Mario looks like a pathetic childrens game. Just think: Who would win in a fight? Blade-swinging Kratos or Bee-flying Mario?

Mario Galaxy is the latest take on a 3-D Mario game by Nintendo. It's leaps and bounds ahead of Mario Sunshine *cringes*. This adventure take Mario to outer space on a Quest to stop Bowswer from his no good ways. He has to power a spaceship full of Lumas by collecting Stars to power the ship. This is a fun adventure that's all about the gameplay rather than the cutesy, kind of lame story.
Graphics: The graphics are some of the Wii's best yet! They are highly detailed and VERY colorful. Mario has never looked better and there is a large variety of world types without much repetition. Good Stuff
Sound: The sound comprises of nice music and all the classic Mario noises. Their is very little voice acting, and when there is it is just kind of weird and forced. Overall, it is fitting for a Mario Game.
Gameplay: You run around on varies planets. A lot of classic Mario is here, lots of platform jumping as well as on enemy heads lol. The new gravity features are cool, allowing Mario to walk upside down on ceiling and walk up walls. There are also varies power ups such as Fire Mario, bee Mario, and Boo Mario. They all have there own special uses on select levels. Their are even some racing segments which are quite fun.
Overall, this a birlliant, fun addition to your Wii library. Word on the street is that is is now only $20!!! Go get this now!
I like playing Mario.

Over the years, Mario has been a staple of Miyamoto and his success with Nintendo. The dude is a creative genius. But with everybody, you start to lose your steam after a while. I mean, it's totally normal, because no matter how creative you are, you'll start losing your touch eventually, right? Wrong. Mario Galaxy's level design alone gives you an impression that Mr. Nintendo himself knows what he is doing. The game is a joy to look at, with vibrant colors pleasing the eye at every turn, and detailed characters, environments, and planets show off the Wii's technical capabilities. You control Mario with the Wii-mote and nunchuck without problems, and the orchestral sountrack has many melodious and nostalgic tunes. The game has that familiar nintendo charm, and is what every game should be-fun.This is a great Wii game. I mean think about it, it takes a while to create Mario games, and with the sheer amount of them that are already out, you'll expect this one to be sub par, but on the contrary-it isn't.

The game is simply a masterpiece. Unfortunately I was recovering from an operation when I got this game, and when I play it now, it kind of depresses me. It's so odd. The gameplay with the gravity is so innovative, and the levels are so well done. This game is a video game masterpiece. Unfortunately by the logic of some, this game is not technically a video game, because it's not a 1st person shooter and you don't get to blow anyone's head off.
