When Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops was announced to be brought to the ever deviant hand held that is the PSP, many fans were worried about how it would look and play. There was more emphasis on how it would play, because when most console games are scaled down to PSP size, control is usually the first component in question. Don't fret here, because as you can see from the score that I gave this game, it's all good. The game is set a few years after Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, so you'll still be pulled into that amazing atmosphere. The story, as in most Metal Gear games, is great, and reflects the way you play the game. You will have to recruit enemy soldiers, technicians, medics, and what have you, to form an arsenal of soldiers that help you accomplish your mission. This aspect of the game is very cool and engaging, since each character has abilities, an varying stats. The controls work very well on the PSP, and the gameplay is as Metal Gear as ever. The cut scenes unfold in the art of the graphic novels, and the sound and graphics are top notch. The online multiplayer is also good, with a variety of game modes, and the fact that you can use your recruited members from the campaign just keep you playing again and again. You can input passwords and even download special characters and bosses to use for your stealthing pleasure. A few shortcuts have been taken here and there, but don't worry, they aren't mind blowingly major (you can't slit throats). The game is great, and feels good because it is a solid game in the series, not a spin off like Metal Gear Acid. Though both games are great, you can't go wrong with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.

This game is definetly one of the must own titles on the psp. I have to admit they did a great job on getting the controls to work on a psp, and i actually think the controls are improved from the ps2 mgs3. I loved the graphics, it almost looks like a ps2 game, also it has all the corny sounds from all the metal gear's

Metal Gear is a must buy if you have a PSP but if you don't buy it and then buy this game the bad part is no blood is included but the online gameplay is awesome and the storyline is great.

great game...alot diffrent from its console brethren but still keeps it fresh and fun...recruiting an army becomes addicting..gotta catch em all type..overall grea if u like the mgs series this wont let u down and gret for a portable game because of the paceing...a deffinate buy for anyone with a psp and mgs love. cutscenes are great, kinda like the mgs grafic novals from not to long ago..only flaw is gameplay gets repetitive..but online is great, which is just like mgs subsitence for the ps2 and in form of portible online there s nothing better..

Its here, metal Gear solid ops:-) a game that i love so much. The Most awaited and one off the best PSP games available to buy. Another awesome game made by Konami Corporation This game has a aright storyline and alot of fun gamplay and action. MPO was the most awaited game. Also it was ranked as the best game for PSP MPO was a little different to the other games because it's not all about of being Snake when you play mpo it has recuties so you don't have to always be Snake To finish this game off they also have a great online were you can blow more people up. Online has the all the needs and basics to make it a great online game aswel with Story Mode This and other stuff is why i have rated this great game 10/10 just perfect.

This game gave me hope for the future of the PSP. The game proves that an orginal title with great action and graphics of possible on the psp that gamers can actually control with the limited analog controls. The story and length are comparable to the ps2 counterparts. The controls seem a bit sensitive like with movement and aiming, but you can get used to it. A must have for fans of Metal Gear or if you own a PSP and enjoy good action and story.

This game is what everygame on the PSP should be like great gameplay and replay value. This game is also a great adittion to the Metal Gear saga with its enganging story which helps to make clear big boss's defection and creation of outer heaven.Every metal gear fan should have this game. While the controls are clunky after a while they become natural and easy to execute. Also the addition of being able to recruit soldiers and gain special ones gives it good replay value. Games like this are what the psp needs.
