Crisis core is a must have for the psp. One of the main reasons is the gorgeous visuals and the innovative gameplay system in which you play the game. This game is the first reason you should get a psp. The storyline is amazing and if your not paying attention will indefinitey confuse you. All in all its a good game worthy of its price and if your a final fantasy fan you would want to know what happen before the original final fantasy vii. Well that's it for the review hope it helps you.

If i had my psp it would be a must have. But a girl dropped mine while it was in the front of my book bag and when i heard it crack i wanted to press charges. But i get the oppertunity to play my friend's psp. Crisis core is what were still playing, But it's difficult and fun at the same time it's like heaven in my hands it's the best psp game yet. the psp is really stepping up to it's limits, And this game pushes it right at that limit it's heavenly!!!!!!!!
A fitting prequel to FVII

First off this game is prequel to FFVII. It does a great job of filling you in on the the story of Cloud and why he is the way he is. At the same time explains all the events leading up to what happens in FFVII. On that note, the story line does a great job, but i fell it was a little to short. You can blow threw this game somewhat easily if you don't feel like doing the sidequests. This makes the game go by fast. Honestly, I feel if you break the game down from 100%, like 40% of the game is storyline/normal play, and 60% is missions. The new battle system is great I really enjoyed it.
Leveling up in this game is quite hard. It relies on the random DMV. Sometimes you'll get like 5 level ups in a row others you can go hours without a single level up. I found myself sitting in a mission just letting mobs hit me hours and hours just trying to get my DMW wheel to get me a level up.
Other than that the game is great. Excellent graphics, storyline, character interaction and cutscenes. A great adventure worth of your PSP collection. You should get a good bit of time out of as well if you do alot of side missions.

This game is awesome. A reason to pick up a psp. Story is great being a prequel to FF7 and gameplay is also awesome. I am blown away by this game as it is for a psp game. Gameplay is like kingdom hearts in FF12 combined. Overall this a great game 5/5.

owning a psp is very frustrating if you're not a big sports fan.
Final Fantasy Crisis Core gave me a reason to get excited about my psp again.
The story is typical FF babble at times, but what makes it so interesting is knowing that Zack is a tragic character.
the gameplay is alot like the Kingdom Hearts games, which in my opinion is great because it makes it easy to pick up and play.
The missions did get a little repetitive at times and towards the end I found my self charging through just to find out how the story ended.
Greatness in a portable game

It took me 2 weeks to beat this game, which is generally a good thing since I got in July and played from 10am to 3am each day. The only problem was that the camera sometimes went bad. but whatever.
A great PSP game, but it was missing a few things.

We know of the existence of the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII", and its lackluster productions *looks at Dirge of Cerberus*, but everything changed with this game. Finally enlightening the events around the Nibelheim incident, and one of the most obscure characters in the FFVII story, it already set the stage for a good game. But Square didn't just do that, they went the distance, and made something better.
Story: The story was great in its own. It began rather slow and dull, but eventually picked up steam and got extremely enticing. And it just kept getting momentum, till it finally hit the ending (and one of the most touching ending I have seen. More so than FFVII's silly "touching climax"). My main problem with the story, however, is the uselessness and annoyance of certain characters(looks at Genesis and LOVELESS), and the script. The scripting was terrible in the beginning. But it was getting better as well, as Zack matured over the course of the story. Genesis and Angeal however, got more annoying...If I ever hear another crap line about "The gift of the goddess" I will hurt someone.
Gameplay: Gameplay was innovating and entertaining...at first. Then it became a chore, and I just got to the point where i walked around the random battle areas. And I was over leveled most of time (even broke damage limit farther down the line) and most of them just took time out of getting on with the story. Though I did like the concept of the Digital Mind Wave. It sometimes saved me in a few scruff instances, and provided some extra damage when possible. And with a nice long list of images to use, it was always surprising. But overall, battles were bland. But at least it wasn't button mashing the entire time.
Audio/Visual: A stronger part of the game as well. Graphics were amazing for the handheld, and gave the characters life. rarely did I see the "stiff flapping lips to talk". No, most of their faces were always moving and showing expressions. Voice acting was...meh. Nothing exciting, but not bad. The game had plenty of CGI cutscenes, and most of them were AMAZING (looks at the Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth battle, and the ending). They were comparable to PS3/360 graphics at times. Music was good. Nothing remarkable till you heard a remix of an old FFVII song, like Let the battles begin, Aerith's theme, or One-Winged Angel/ Theri rearrangements were excellent.
Conclusion To wrap this up, this is a great game and a must-have for any PSP gamer. You may need to look up your FFVII history to make sense of a few things, but still its great. It has some great moments, and some longevity (300 missions, Materia Fusion, and such, anyone?). You won't be spending anything less than 30 hours on this. Just the combat, camera, and voice acting are sub-par. But they are blemishes to an otherwise great game.
