good racing sim, has that certain something that keeps you coming back for more. I don't even like f1 racing but really dug the career mode in this game. very well put together, great presentation, and controls are spot on. there are many adjustments you can make to taylor the game to your liking and of racing. but just remember it is more of a sim your not drifting and taking corners at 200+ mph.

This game literally takes you into the Formula 1 world. One word can describe this game to its limit! Wow. The PS3 hardware is finally put to good use in this game where you race in Championships but not only that, you can go online and take advantage of a racing team! The controls are simple and the grapics are amazing. One thing: If you liked Motorstorm, you'll like this because it is nothing but a Motorstorm proto-type, just without the muck and dirt. Its deffently the best Formula one game out there, but is it better then the PS2 version? Answer yes! Everythink is better on the PS3. Lisen: right so I went to Blockbuster last night to rent a game for my PS3 just to see if there were any others out there that I might like, I had orginally planned on renting Pirates Of The Carribeian At Worlds End. Even though the case for that particular game was in they had taken that game off the shelf do to damage. So I go looking around, this game had caught my eye and I thought why not let's try it. So I then start my career mode on easy, this is because I have never played any F1 games, only Gran Turismo and other random racing games. So after just 2 races I'm hooked and will be buying this game when I get the money, the graphics are great, the tracks are cool, only complaint is the CPU drivers act a little stupid but they will likely preform better if I raise the difficulty. The evolution testing is great, especially since I don't know how to set up an F1 car. If your a racing fan this game is a must have, if you watch F1 on TV, get this game. And if your like me who's a NASCAR fan/player usually and are looking to try something new then buy this game. Also the weather is a very nice touch, something that EA has never implimented into NASCAR. I love Formula one now:-)

Amazingly, Formula One Championship Edition captures all of these themes. Perhaps the greatest compliment that can be paid to this game is that it feels markedly different than a NASCAR racing game. The Speed A big part of the reason that the game feels different is the hair-raising, awe-inspiring sensation of speed. The grafic is awesome to, just perfect. Clearly, the power of the PS3 has been successfully harnessed because the game's speedy gameplay does not come with any sacrifice to graphical quality. The cars, environments, and race tracks all look close to photorealistic. Fun For Everyone - Including You, Race-Game Hater. So even if you dont like racing, you need to buy this game, it so good i tell your. 10/10 just perfect

I would like to know how much did SCEE (the developer) have to pay?? Everyone and their grandmothers (even gamepro) gave thhis game a perfect or near perfect score. I say NO WAY IN HELL , well i take the back maybe if i was in a $1,000,000 F1 racer with the ps3 controller driving lol. the game hard , i mean stupid hard. My coupe can take more damage then these super cars. If u make it threw the first lap , i'll just realized how hard it is. I mean of coures with all the driving aids OFF. the game is s hard u first start diving with all of the driving aids or( or maybe because it was on easy). yes i mean all driving aids. brakes, turning, and much more driving is done for you. so as a driving fan (u should see a grand turismo) i turned all of the driving aids off, and it sucked to say the least, the very least. buy this game if you have a son or a little bother who likes your ps3 but cant play any of them(just make sure all the driving aids are on) but dont be surpised if he slams your controller because he cant get passed turn 1 , yea its the har.... i mean realiztic.

This is nothing but an average racing game. I think Gamepro had a little inflation on the fun factor in order to help out the PS3. Being on the Xbox would have definitely made Gamepro change their minds. Lets be far now.

I demoed this game quite often before I actually purchased my PS3 and then I purchased this game. This game does look good on my SDTV (will get a HDTV soon) and when that is the case, you know that this game is a good looking one. The water effects are quite impressive and the most impressive that I have seen in a game to this point. You can adjust the weather settings from sunny, light rain, and heavy rain. What makes this game so good is that this appeals to anyone from casual gamers to hardcore players who dream about driving those high tech beasts. You have the option to adjust the driving aids such as assitance in braking, steering (to a degree), stability control, etc. To move the racer, you can press the X button or press up on the R3 button. To brake, press square or down on the R3 button. L2 and R2 are for shifting gears in manual transmission. The L3 stick is for steering and to look behind you, press the R1 button. There are lines to help you around the racetrack like in GT and Forza.

The only thing bad I can say about this game is the fact that you can't play 2 players without going online. That was the only thing that kept me from buying it. It seems harder and harder to find a split screen racing game these days and the ones that do usually only let you do one on one races. Unfortunately this only lets you play one player during the grandprix modes but everything else is absolutely rock solid. The graphics will blow you away especially the rain effects while racing 1st person. It truly is a sight to see. What's best is the amount of options that let you customize how real or technical you want the racing experience to be. If you love F1 racing then you will love this game.
