*If you are looking for details, you wont find them here, you got Gamepro review for that. *
---------------------------------------------
Crysis is not the most "PC Friendly" game on the market, it does have some high requirements that mid-end and even hi-low PC just cant live up to. And the reason for why its bad is beacuse the whole special thing in Crysis is the graphics, but, unless your playing on Very High\ High, you wont really see something that pretty as on High or Very High (mostly beacuse of shadres). You will be forced to play on mid, while there are other games on the market that looks better (much better) then Crysis on Mid (and now, there are many equal games that looks just as good as Crysis, well, almost).
---------------------------------------------
Crysis is not really a "full big scale" game. It feels quite average actually when you get to all the other elements of the game. The graphics is pretty, but its no way near what we saw at trailers at the time, and the whole engine is heavy and sluggish. When it comes to gameplay, its exactly the same as Far Cry 1, only you have a special suit that makes things a little bit cooler, but not much of a change. On the audio side, there is nothing new, but the quality is very nice and you can really feel the "boom" that a grenade or a huge explosion will make. The story is told out nicely with good voice acting and nice scene, but overall, its not something to drive you on.
---------------------------------------------
*Note that this review is written after Warhead has come out, and now I will tend to this*.
---------------------------------------------
If you liked Far Cry, and have like the Crysis demo, get Crysis. In a very unexpected way, Crysis never gets repetitive, and plays out differently each time beacuse of its open world system. Crysis is a good game, it brings vehicles with it, many cool weapons, smart AI, great sound and graphics, and a lot from here. Still, as for someone that doesn't like that much the "Sneak up" of gameplay, Crysis isn't that great, even though its very fun.
Now lets get to the Warhead thing. Warhead is a 30$ game based on Crysis engine, only its tweaks up, the graphics are better and the engine works very smooth. And more then that, in Warhead the whole is "go gun them", instead of "sneak on them", which means its got some intense action. The reason I mentioned Warhead is beacuse I would recommend for everyone to just go on Warhead, and if they are looking for more, go to Crysis as well, its still a good game. Note that if you didn't played Warhead some story elements can confuse you very much (which is why you still need Crysis for Warhead).
*This review is probably diffrent for you, but I decided to write it this way to tell pepole what I think they should know about the game. If your looking for details, go to Gamepro review, and try the demo.*
Pretty but a little underwhelming

Crysis has some amazing visuals, but the cost to entry is just too high --- it's not worth spending $1000+ to play what is really just another solid PC shooter. Sure the graphics are gorgeous, but what about the rest of the game? The physics-inspired sections are great, and many of the shootouts are intense and satisfying, but Crysis veers into weirdo territory by the end of the game. If the second half had been as good as the first half, Crysis would've been a monster hit. As it is, it's a great shooter for the hardcore crowd and a sign of impressive things to come in terms of visuals.
another shooter but this one is impressive

Crysis supplies the gamer with an edge of your seat thrill. With stunning visuals and unmatched realism and intensity, crysis won the game critics award. With the ability to adapt to almost any situation by changing your nano suit's ability and your weapons, crysis ranks up there at the top.
overrated, average

Everything is sloppy in this game. It's sloppy coding, the characters are bad and the AI is stupid. The one advantage to this game is the use of the suit which gives you a handful of options to activate at one time such as Strength, Speed, Chameleon and the default 'increased armor.' The scenery is ok since you have some room to maneuver and it's not just hallways and caves which is definitely a plus, after that it just plain sucks and I think it's due to rushed, sloppy coding. I have a year old system with an NVIDIA card, 2 GB of ram, and a core duo which was top of the line when I got it, and this game drags frame by frame. Plot: there is no plot. I hated all the characters and I was completely indifferent when they died., actually I was happy because that meant the bad B-movie storyline would stop. This is supposed to be a crack spec ops unit, but the characters act like angry thugs with no discipline, constantly arguing and mouthing off to your leader. All of them of course end up dying for no reason before there was any further character development. AI: Stupid. Here is one example: you're driving a vehicle or firing from a machine gun nest, AI shoots at you. You turn on your chameleon suit: AI has no idea where you are.... stupid. They then give you clues "I know you're here somewhere" "I think I hear something." Where did I go? Nowhere, I'm still there driving my visible vehicle and AI has no idea so they must think there's a vehicle driving itself when before they saw me driving it. Vehicles: Explode when you try to run over someone and you die every time. Explode when you roll no matter how fast you're going and you die every time. Are virtually impossible to navigate without crashing. Despite all that, they are seemingly impervious to machine gun fire. You can drive around and get shot up but the truck keeps truckin. Overall it's sloppy code. This is no more spectacular than any other 1st person shooter and in most cases it's sub-par, but you need an expensive rig to run it. That only means sloppy code and it shows.
CRYSIS=AWESOME

This game basically represents what a good PC shooter should be like. You can customize your weapons so much you can make a gun that's like an AK look like some tactical sniper! I know, people say the requirements are extremely high (I can't complain, I can play it with almost all the settings on very high because of my sweet computer), but even with the graphics tuned down to low you can still experience a terrific game! The only problem that I have with it are that the missions are quite lengthly and some are HARD! Other than that, it's good. Now, the online is amazing! You'll have lots of fun online, trust me. If you want to have fun and have a decent PC, get the game NOW!
Not that good.

Okay, this game has great graphic, but the pretty much all other thing aint that good. All the hype is about the graphic, but they forget that theres other things than that. And the other things suck. I have 1 thing to say to all people wondering if they should buy the game. SAVE THE MONEY..
this game blowed me up

If you think crysis is going to be another of thoes pointless liniar shooters with steller graphics (like doom 3), think again. I recently downloaded and played the crysis multiplayer beta, and i was extreemly impressed. The graphics are as flawless and spectacular as the killzone demo from e3, despite minor Glitches and jumps which crytec will probably fix. As for the gameplay, it is intense, open, and extreemly fun. You have a large assortment of fun weapons, which you can buy addons to customize with. Your also have a nano suit, which you can either tweek to give you more sheild, more power, more speed, or cloching abilities. Allong with fun, open maps with a bunch off kickass vehicle's, crysis is one of the greatest shooters ever made! Graphics-5.0 Sound-4.5 Control-4.5
Lokking AWESOME

At first glance this game looks like another HAlo based game. But it is not just that it is a lot better than that! I can't say much obviously since I haven't played yet ( DUH ) But looking at it it looks fantastic and a really good game.
