This is a one of a kind game. You have to keep a constant supply of what are called Thermal Energy. Little orange things that come from basically everything you kill or blow up. If your thermal energy reaches zero, then your life will begin to decrease. So keep a good supply at all times. Its actually easier than it sounds. The story is very good. I was impressed. The guns are sweet. Plus, among everything, you get some badass Vital Suits.(some tricked out mechs). The bosses are a bit tough at first, but that just adds to the fun. The main objective for the game is that the humans want to turn this ice planet into a habitable place for people to survive. They want to melt the ice so they can grow grass and trees and everything. Anyway, I dont want to spoil the game for you, so if you want more, then you should go buy the game. The ending is great too. The graphics are fantastic! The Arbiter has spoken!!!!

Set within the horribly cold climate of a akrid invested planet, men and monsters clash, and even humans and humans clash. With a astounding single player campaign, and numerous forms of multiplayer modes, Lost Planet delievers.
The best schooter on xbox!

i love this game so much! Wicked boss fights, incredible graphics. If you've got the rig for this then it's worth checking out. The Good: - Huge memorable boss fights that are reminiscent of the huge boss fights from Super Metroid (not to say this game is like any metroid game though). - Incredible Graphics that look and perform better now than they did at launch - Great animation - the movement of the characters, VS Mech suits, effects, everything, it all has very distinctive and very high quality movement - in other words, they didn't just make the still frame look good, but the moving frame aswell - Great variety of enemies, weapons, VS mechs/vehicles, environments - Game and levels load very quickly; the game also closes down very quickly. - Extremely fun final boss fight (didn't really match the style of the rest of the game too well but it was damn cool) A game witch have so much of different maps, superb maps. -the bosses are very good. The Bad: - Only one set of onscreen instructions for menus and in the game. Essential items include keyboard referrences where the demo didn't but there is still a lot of little things here and there that only refer to the Xbox360 controller, usually you can just click on these items with the mouse though so I don't see what the big deal is. - Pretty damn demanding. This game will make you want a new rig, even if you already have a decent one.
pretty good game

The story mode can get a little repetitive at times but overall it is decent. Where Lost Planet really shines is in online. The online play is extremely solid and I have had hours of fun playing just online. The different character skins was definately a good feature.

This game had a lot of potential, but should have stayed in development a lot longer. Without a doubt, the graphics are great, as you can tell by the screenshots, but the gameplay does not match at all. The zoom on the sniper is wierd, and The guy runs like an 80 year old grandma. I do like some of the little things about the game such as where they have how many bullets you have left in a clip and things like that. The game could have at least gotten a 4.25 if they make the gameplay better. I wouldn't go any farther than renting this game.

This game looked more fun than it was. I was very excited when I got my Xbox 360 Elite to play Lost Planet. After beating it in one day I had a very different opinion. The bosses were boring and easy to find the weaknesses and defeat. On the aliens it's pretty much shoot at the orange glowing things. The humans were also weak and easy to defeat. If your looking for a good entertaining third-person shooter for the 360 get Gears of War and stay away from this game.

this game is all right it is not the best game it is fun. we sometimes call it frozen or ice planet cause it is all ice in the game sometimes and because of the front cover. i play it sometimes just not all the time cause it isnt a game that i would spend time playing on. it is still a fun game and i like it it just isnt my favorite game.
Great. And not.

The visuals are nice, but don't make the game worth buying. The story's got this whole old school anime thing to it, so right away it's okay, but confusing. In fact, the only thing that brings this game down is the repetitiveness (don't know if that's a word). All you do for the whole game is shoot giant bugs and fight robots. It's also very short, and a little bit too easy.
