You can unlock more stuff than the original DMC3. You can unlock Virgil, the 9999 level Bloody Palace, costumes, and other things. The combo system helps you get more Red Orbs in game.

Aside from it being just another repeat of a good game. DMC3 SE is the same game, just with a few extra add ons to it like a new difficulty, bloody castle, and anew feature that Devil May Cry fans will cry over. the ability to play as not only his father Sparda, but as Dante's Brother the dark cold hearted vergil. even though you get to play as vergil, there are no new levels ou jus repeat the same dante levels granted a few different cut scens. but me Snake436, i give this game a 9/10 and a 4.5/5

Devil May Cry 3 SE is a game made by Capcom. This game is the prequel to the orignal Devil May Cry. In this editon of the game, you get to play as Virgil once you completed all the modes in the game. One problem with the game is that you can't change the camera angle, which makes it difficult to see sometimes. The camera angle is what is keeping me from giving this a 5. The game has some challenging puzzles that require some thinking. Such as the Bloody Palace. 9999 levels. No i am not lying about that. It will test your paticence, as well as your durability. Overall, the game is really good. Well worth the price of $20.

This is an amazing game. It has easier modes for beginners, unlike the original DMC3, so nobody has to cry about not being able to beat it. As for me, I'm completely hooked on this game. I've played it for months, and it still hasn't gotten boring. Another thing about this game is that, the longer you play, the better you get, and the more you want to keep playing and pushing yourself to beat the other modes. The game can last a nearly infinite amount of time, if you want to try to get the best rankings on each level. The special edition even comes with Vergil as a playable character (though Vergil is not as fun to be as Dante). This is a must have, especially since it is only $20.

Devil May Cry 3 SE.Once again Dante finds himself once again on a mission to do some more ass kicking demon hunting. The game starts off in dante's NEWpawn shop.He is approached by a weird man who has a big scar/burn down his left eye.He asks are you the son of sparda dante?Dante reply's thats what some people say.The man than gives him an invitation from his brother! *Gasp* brother? yes finaly the mysterious brother of dante has finaly shown himself. The man leaves and than dante gets stabbed by a bunch of ghoul demons.Of course dante can't die so he kicks one of them right through the entrance of the shop.He than walks over to his juke box and turns on some music."Its Party Time"!The first mission begins with a quick tutorial. You than fight an onslaught of these ghouls. If you want to I suggest you die a bunch of times to turn to easy automatic mode so that you are able to get use to the game first. The 2nd mission you fight some more baddies and a boss who is impossible unless you get into easy automatic mode. The rest of the game is for you to figure out.The new gameplay features new styles.Trickster Style,Swordmaster Style,Gunslinger Style are the ones you start with. Each style can be leveled up to level 3 which unlocks new moves to the style. The weapons of course are your guns, the force edge. The next few weapons you find randomly and find through the god bosses. These include:Cerebrus who gives you his soul that turns into a weapon.AGNI & RUDRA two swords combined.NEVAN a guitar that controls electricity and bats.BEOWULF two gaunlets lets you do punch and kick combos.Guns include the shotgun etc.Overall the game is pretty hard even in easy automatic mode. The se allows you to pick gold or yellow save points.Gold allows you to use as many gold orbs and ressurect right where you died. The yellow starts you all the way to the beggining of the mission. There is also a feature after you beat the game you unlock Vergil mode. This allows you to play as dante's brother in a whole adventure of his own.Overall an awsome game. Get the all 3 games including the se for $34.99 at any video game store.

Many were skeptical of the Devil May Cry franchise after the disapointing Devil May Cry 2, yet not only does this game save the franchise, it complete blows away everything other action game, yes even God of War. The game is a prequal to the original Devil May Cry, so you play a younger more outspoken Dante. From the opening cinema to the ending credits, the game oozes bad assness. The presentation is top notch with great graphics and voice acting and cut scenes that you'll want to watch over and over again. Many have complained about how the Devil May Cry games were always extremely difficult but I never really was overly challenged by them, yet Devil May Cry 3 changes all that. From start to finish, the game is extremely challanging, but in a good way. There is also an easy mode that great for those who have never played a Devil May Cry game. The new adjustable camera is great for solving puzzles and viewing your surroundings but it's rare for the standard in game camera to get in the way of the action. The controls are rock solid and easy to pick up and play. And since this is the special addition, there is plenty of extras, the biggest one of course is being able to play as Vergal. You also have extra difficult modes(if anyone can beat Dante must die mode, tell me) along with bonus custums,an battle royal mode, upon many others. While the game is amazing, it does have it faults. Purchasing iteams in the game can be a pain becuase of high prices, yet to beat the game, some of the iteams are almost essential such as the health bonuses. Also upgrading you weapons is a tad expensive. The game camera while it is solid, does spaz out occasionaly and it doesn't do it enough to really hurt the game, yet it does affect the overall gameplay. But overall this title is a must own, especially since it's only 20 bucks. (If you don't own any of the Devil May Cry games but want to, you should go and pick up the DMC box set that comes with all three games including Devil May Cry: SE for the sweet price of only 30 bucks! :)
Vergil's game is all new

I heard that playing as Vergil would be a new experience, but I didn't realize how new. Vergil brings an all nesw style to this game and now many fans have what they want, to play as the older, badass Son of Sparda. Along with the returnong Bloody Palace mode and the Demo Digest movie viewer, DMC 3 Special Edition is somethin that any fan of the series who may have missed the original or if you just want to see what's new. Besides the new features and the added Jester boss fights, this game plays the same as the first DMC 3. The difficultly that left many gamers frustrated has been altered to be more managable to returning vets or new players. Unfortunately, the camera control has not changed and still makes some problems in gameplay. It would also have been cool if Vergil had his own story instead of just goin through Dante's same missions (i.e. Ada's Seperate Ways in RE4). Either way, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition packs on more features at a great price. $20 is a manageable price for any gamer who wants to experience this game for the first time or a second run through.

This game is by far the best Devil may cry ever made. Not only do you get to play with Dante (basically) but you get to play with his brother the bad ass of bad (who almost equals Sephiroth) And by picking him you get a whole new play by play of moves Dante has yet to Master. The only thing that is keeping this game from having a perfect score is the fact that there should have been a whole new set of stages for the man, but all in all the game offers alot of new features including a new boss fight hey not every game offers some thing like that. And to add icing to the cake you get to adjust the difficult feature and for the hard core gamers out there you get to play a hard mode that will drive you up the wall and text your skills and see if you can make the DEVIL CRY! I suggest to any one who has the original to also pick this up (well I did he,he,he) one more thing good luck to you.
