This was a really solid introduction into the Guitar Hero franchise! I still play it, just like i still play GH:2 lol. I love getting to play Megadeth and Ozzy and Pantera! This game had it all, and still should appeal to any Guitar Hero fan! What are you waiting for? Go Play It!

Who knew that playing with a plastic guitar controller would be so much damn fun?

Before there was Guitar Hero, the music game genre was just a small niche in a massive sea of video games. This game changed everything practially overnight. It's a simple concept really, just add A.) a cute plastic Gibson SG controller B.) a kick ass soundtrack and C.) a moving onscreen fret board with colored notes that you have to hit on the controller and use the strum bar at the same time. While it's nothing like playing a real guitar, it doesn't matter cause it's damn good fun. The soundtrack is my favorite part of the whole game, and even though they're mostly all covers, for the most part they are well done. Megadeth, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath... this game is stacked with awesome hits. The only downside is that the song list is fairly short compaired to later installments. If you don't have this game then shame you.

cool

Sure, it isn't completely original (GuitarFreaks came first), but if you can find someone to pry me away from my guitar controller, I will be very surprised. This game is very fun, and GuitarHero II takes it even further.

Better than Part 2

Guitar Hero has a better tracklist than GH2. All of these songs go from Megadeth's Symphony of Destruction to Pantera's Cowboys from Hell. The bonus tracks are WAY better than the ones in GH2. I love this game so much.

I came, I saw, I played

The graphics, not so good. The songs, better than GH2, controll is great. Need I say more? If you don't have this game, you have some major issues.

Guitar hero

An awesome game that's no doubt. The overall style is one of intense concentration a great hand eye cordintation. The game has no story line but makes up for it in the shear awesomeness of being a guitar hero. The games has several genres that allow the player to feel like there in a stadium filled with thousands of screaming teenagers. Teh songs are good, but could use some more classic rock such as Van halen or ACDC. The game gives you the chance to feel like your onstage stumming through an impossible solo while trying to keep yourself from screwing up. Overall the game was a little button mashing, but that's how it was made. This is a must for gamers who have plenty of free time and plenty of asprin.

Great Guitar Simulator

Its great for all of you guitar junkies and music junkies like me! It has accurate beats and it keeps your hands moving so fast you might just throw your fingers straight off the hands. The only problem I have is the very sub-par graphics and number of songs. There is not much else to say here. It's an overall great game and thats the bottom line.
