Great game. Love the character creation and there's tons of weapons. The only down side is the boss battles are pretty easy. Otherwise the graphics are awesome and everyone should buy this game.

mass effect is by far the best bioware game to have ever been made. it's also one of the best games of the past few years. mass effect does everything flawlessly. it has a great battle system, the music is great, the voice acting is some of the best i've ever heard, it has a complex and intriguing world, it has a variety of characters with their own distinct personalities and backgrounds. i have heard from a few people that your party's A.I. isn't that great but from my experience my party had great A.I. and without saying any spoilers my party was one of the reasons why i was able to beat the final boss. speaking of spoilers you can change the story progression so much depending on what you say and do. like with most bioware games you can be good or bad but unlike previous bioware games there are 2 separate meters for the good and bad things you which lets you be in a gray area as opposed to being strictly being black and white. you can also select your characters own background and it'll affect what the other characters say and depending on which one you choose you can open up side quests that relate to your past but only the one you chose. it's almost impossible for two people to have the same experience with this game because you can change the story dramatically and if you want to explore every nook and cranny of this game it'll take you at least 5 playthroughs. the cool thing about having your actions change the outcome of the game is that the story is so good you'll want to make more than one character to play it over again to see things you missed the 1st time through. also i should note that finding everything this game has to offer on only your 1st time playing through it is all but impossible. this game is just flat out addictive. so if you have an xbox 360 and you don't mind being stuck to the tv for countless hours playing this game go out now and buy it.

This game is truely a masterpiece. By the people that made KOTOR and Jade Empire make a epic game called Mass Effect. You start out by creating a character and making his background and throughout the entire game you are either fighting in intense 3rd person shootouts or making your choices in the game. This is a must own for anyone who enjoys shooting games, games with great storys, or just a good game.

This game is almost like a mix of KOTOR and Oblivion making it a very fun and enjoyable gameplay experience. The game can be alittle boring at first but then becomes much more exciting and deep (once you become a spectre and get used to it). The game obviosly has a main story line but also has tons of side missions for more replay value. You also have teamates in which you can have who have different aspects and abilities than you do. There are also a variety of classes that you can pick from in the begginning in the game that determine what youe biotic and weapon specialties can be. The game lets you land and explore on tons of uncharted planets if you like to explore but the main storey line is very well written and fun as well. One of the most immersive things about the game is the dialogue system which lets you choose a number of things you would like to reply to any individual which affects the situations and the NPC's feelings upon you. The game is around 15-20 hours long (main story line) and the side missions add many more hours. Buy this game.

Knowing Bioware's excellent history at making unique and compelling RPGs, I was thrilled when I heard about Mass Effect. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. More of a combination of elements in role-playing games, (IE: Dialogue trees, Levelling/Skill point system, Focus on plot and the development of a world) and a third-person shooter combat system, Mass Effect separates itself from the traditional turn-based combat system. The visuals are excellent, and I was impressed with Bioware's effort to add in voice acting. The only problems I could find in the game were occasional frame rate lag, and texture popping.

Note i do my reviews on games that i have completed When i think of the word Bioware i think of a company that puts their heart and soul in a game to make it perfection and it is shown in their work. From KOTOR to Jade Empire and now Mass Effect Bioware shows that it may have entred a new generation and have new high standards but they just do one old thing and that is always deliever. When i first got mass effect and right at the beginnig of the game i was addicted. I was addicted for so much that for 3 day from start to finish i slept and played mass effect non stop. IF you do not know anything about this game. im not going to spoil the story for you, i want you to experince every moment in this game as if it was magic. The Combat is third person cover shooting and you have options if you want to use skills like lift warp etc.. The Combat is great and rewarding as you go through each stage. The Worlds you travel through are amazing and you feel a sense of exploring and finding out whats wrong with the planets Like you get when you were first on taris in KOTOR. The Life choices in Mass effect are not as the light and dark side in Kotor Some decisions are very grey and sacfrices will need to be made to continue on. This can reflect on what you would do in a situation like this. Sometimes with these grey decisons you can be goody to shoes then you may make an decison and suprise yourself to a bit of a rogue. Audio is superb that it can bring in emotions from enviroments to the detailed charcters and to get the blood pumping in diffrent parts of the game. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX SPOILER XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX There is also another great part to mass effect and that is the reapers even though you donts see them much in the game towards the end you get tour own vison of what(In your head) the reapers are through actions you see in the game. You hear talk about the reapers in the game but your mind creates what they are like. This can come in terms of power destruction and how evil they can be. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXEND OF SPOILERXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX There are some drawbacks though and that is The Mako is not as heartbeating as travelling on foot and slows the action down however it does get some heart beats and makes it refreshing. Also Some times charcters lose details in a couple of scenes but it only happens randomnly and bearly happens. In conclusion Mass Effect is an amazing game that delivers, there may be a few tiny hic ups in the road but if you own a 360 and you see this game get it! Your 360 will not ask for it. it will demand for it! 4.75

You know, to me it seems that every other game that has come out has gotten atleast a 4.5/5.0 from gamepro. Some that weren't deserving of it, however, I can say with full confidence, that Mass Effect is deserving of a 5.0/5.0. I realize that GP gave it a 4.75/5.0, but it is so well made and organized, that I can't give it anything less that 5.0.

MASS EFFECT!!!!. This is a badass game. I hope that the new one will allow you to land on any planet you want instead of a select few. Still, it's a very good game. You also get a love scene between your character and one of the two women on your crew. Unless you choose to let Ashley Williams die that is. Either way, the scene is hot!!! Especially if you make your character a female when you start the game from the beginning. The Arbiter has spoken!!!!!

I love pandas. they're so fluffy and cute, and they rock with they're total righteousness.and some time ill watch panda cam for hours... oh yeah and mass effect is the greatest game ever made in the history of console gaming.
