I have been playing RPGs since Forever. Love of the genre is a major understatement, but Bioware's Mass Effect had me hook, line and sinker. Where to begin. The character customization had depth and variety. Creating my Avatar was a breeze. The hardest part was choosing how she looked and how many times I was going to replay this game just to create more of them. Controls were sharp and pretty responsive although I did notice some slowdown if alot was going on on-screen. The visuals are to die for, light years ahead of the fantastic KOTOR series. Story wise the pacing was pretty smooth and it would be a shame if you didn't dig deep enough to learn about your crew (Wrex is unbelievably great and Saren can be perceived as tragic). Audio kept up with the action on-screen to create intense and engaging ambiance. Personally I would have liked more planets to survey and land on but that's just me the 40 or so hours you will spend may be enough for you but I could have played for a couple of hundred hours (but I'm kind of nuts like that). 2 words, Get It!

Well I've played many rpgs and this by far is the best. Great voice acting, truly beautiful graphics, and epic story. When I first looked at this game I thought it would be boring. After 10 minutes I became engrossed with the story. I love the gears of war type cover system. The only thing wrong with it is repitive gameplay and lack of downloadble content. OTher than that it is a must buy.

A game came along that proved superior to the rest, and this was that game. With force like powers, and polished gameplay for like ten years, the makers really went all out. With robots, space aliens and vehicle modes all spectacularly done mass effect could not of have been better. I reconmend this game to anyone.(ages 5+-TO INFINITE AND BEYOND) Hardcore is my one word that describes this game.

this game has by far the greatest story ever, saren is my favorite, wats epic is u can play the game by just talking to ppl, this had mind blowing visuals, great rpg elements and challenging difficulties. This game couldve gotten a lil bit better if they changed the annoying death music but its all good i still give it 5 stars.

Mass Effect was a pretty cool game - I finished the entire thing, which counts for a lot. However, I couldn't help but think that it could have been better.

Mass Effect isn't perfect -- the side-quests are too simple, the planet exploration parts are too boring -- but this is still one of the best games I played in 2007. The graphics, the epic story, and the overall vibe of the game are simply stunning. This is one every Xbox 360 (or PC) owner should have.

Bioware has a winner on its hands. Can't wait for the next installment and plus the coolest part about the game is its custimization in the game its just a pain to find the best armour

Mass effect is a fantastic game with great graphics and story line.It has more places to go than any other game out there that i have ever played.

Mass Effect is a really great game. The thing that stood out to me was the replay value. I replayed that game at least 3 times. Every single time was just as fun as the first time I ever played it. I would have to say it is in my top four games. It is #1, #2 is Oblivion, #3 is Bioshcok, #4 is Assasin's Creed. So this, to me, is a aweesome game. (sorry if I rambled, this is my fisrt one.)

love the game nearly perfect but glitch where i couldnt move, like i was trapped in an invisible box, pissed me off and had to restart about 10 times throughout the game
