This is a great game that will entertain long after you first pop it in the console. But come on no online?

I love this game the best and most deep fighting game ever made bar none. the controls are awesome the graphics out of this world. the arcade is a nice touch to the standard career mode or story mode . the best and only fighting game on the Ps3 for a long time to come. and now you can get it for $20 no brainer. the only flaw is no online, come on sony get with the program.

For an old school fighting game fan, this game is great. Razor sharp controls, and great gameplay with variable difficulty really make this one shine. All your moves feel purposeful, and unlike DOA, button mashing will get you killed. Bravo sega.

It's a great arcade game. The perfect transistion to the home console bring great hopes to gamer around the globe. Graphics are second to none. The gameplay is arcade perfect. This is an exciting era for home gamers. The action is simply perfect with the PS3 controller. If only they could have incorporated online matches.

yup theres a reason ps3 costs an arm and a leg and this is one of them. virtua fighter 5 is nothing short of one the best fighting games in the last 5 years , seriously. the combos are a ture test of your timing skills. the graphics are jaw jroping, but there is only one set back for me. in other virtua fighters u could create tournments (1 or 2 players), but sadly there is none on the one. oh well dont let the bother you, if u have a ps3 buy this game, if you dont have a ps3 well to bad for you lol.

At first I was expecting an average fighter with good graphics. What I found was an excellent fighter with some great graphics. I was also wondering how long could a fighter keep me entertained. So I popped in the disk and got going. The first think I noticed was the charming graphics. I loved the way the fighters spoke in their native languages too. I guess I'm still stuck on Soul Caliber's japan or English, on or the other. The fighting was fun to begin with, but the more I played, the funner it became. I was determined to master my favorite fighter. When I finished my first couple of hours, I noticed I had enough gold to customize my fighters appearance. Again I was playing, for the purpose of acquiring better costume customization. This game has lots of charm and plenty of depth. You get much satisfaction beating the snot out of your opponent with a specific move or combo you've been practicing. Loved this one!!

I never really liked fighting games that well, but once I played this game it set a new standard for me on fighting games. If this is what the PS3 can do with fighting games than I cant wait to see the next-gen mortal kombat or any other fighting game. The games graphics are stunning the character designs are so detailed shining with polished graphics that only the PS3 can really handle. The enviroments are also awseome, stunninlgly detailed with movement and reflectins everywhere you look. The only bad thing about this game is the sound, but i still think these guys have to have big balls risking the action of putting a game out for the PS3 with arcade style sound. The game is awseome and should at all cost be played, I just cant wait fo the next one.

this game has awesome ai. the game has many characters. they are very detailed but not amazingly detailed.the graphics for the background is amazing though. the negatives about this game are: no story and it gets old pretty quick. this game, however, makes a very good party game. the pace of the fighting is good. i wish that there was a create your own character mode. the characters also use the same lines all the time after they win and it became annoying. and commentators say only a few lines, so turning that feature on won't do anything. this game supports online. you can customize your character in "quest" mode through winning cash which by the way takes a very long time since you barely win any throughout the game. this game is pretty much close to an above average but it wasn't that good enough to make it into that area. Overall: 3.75
