Lair is one of the games that you have got to play with an open mind because it truly is unlike any other game I have ever played before. Visually it is one of the most stunning and beautifully detailed games ever to be created on any platform. The fire effects are the best I have ever seen. There are some subtle frame rate drops into the mid 20s but it's never enough to destroy the game. My biggest issue is the camera controls which are better left untouched. The best solution would have been if they allowed the camera to go back to a default position once you release the right stick.

The game is not to be compared to your average flight shooter. I think a lot of people are expecting to control the dragon as you would an airplane or spacecraft where you can take sharper turns more easily. It's obvious from the way the controls are implemented that they really tried to keep the controls as realistic as they could. For me it works and I learned really quick that you have to feel the controls instead of trying to overpower them.

Overall I think Lair is a great game that is underappreciated by alot of reviewers but in the end the happy voices of satisfied gamers will be heard much louder.

I have to laugh at the 0.25 reviews this has been getting, they're just dumb fanboys really who have no idea what they're talking about, the Sixaxis controls are PERFECT and it is sooo easy to control, you just have to have about a teaspoon of skill. It's such a great skill it deserves 5/5 completely.

I thought this was going to be one of the ps3's good games. But reality kicked in, the only good thing in this game was it's graphics. The controls screwed up the gameplay. Enemies were too hard to kill because of the messed up controls and the controls almost make it impossible to go through levels.

Unplayable. Sixaxis really fucked this game up,im sorry but it really did. Lets be honest here its unplayable.

like most games this is a most have game. i want it realy bad cause i like these kind of games. it looks and sounds pretty cool actually. it i on my wish list along with others. but this is not a game i would wait in line for like most people. i want this game really badly. it looks col riding dragons ect.

this is such a good game i think but others may think differently than i do. this is a cool game and this is one of my favorite games to play. sometimes i play none stop depending on what i have to do. my friends and i play it sometimes. it is actually very fun.

This game is one of the best games i've ever played and the groung combat is similar to a first person shooter. graphics kick ass and the fact that you use the motion controlled six axis controller to steer the dragon just makes tyhe game more awesome!

Initially, I had my doubts about this game. The gameplay on the "alpha-alpha" I saw a few months ago looked grainy, slow, and boring; granted it was big and very impressive still, but it didn't wow me. The new movies and gameplay has improved tenfold and now it wows me. I've said it before that if they could pull if off, no game company will have the excuse that the PS3 can't perform well given the depth, sophistication, and complexity that Lair was trying to achieve. Now I can truly say that every other gaming company better put the excuses aside, as Factor 5 just made a game and engine that puts the Unreal and Quake engine to shame.
