Sure, sometimes i died from technical glitches and some of the stuff in the game is pretty cheesy note -tail's ring bomb attack- or in the first level when there just "happens" to be a 300 foot tall gate in the water that's activated by a small switch. I actually enjoyed the game, in my opinion, there was more good than bad. other than the glitches and tails' moveset, the only thing i didnt like about the game was that the camera was too far back. this game is worth buying.
New Sonic vs. Old Sonic

The new sonic has improved graphics than the old sonic. But the old sonic has been through the sega generations. There's always one problem in the game: He always dies when he fell into the water.

This game shows players that even next-gen hardware doesn't automatically make for a good game. This Sonic has sticky controls and a bad camera that make it difficult and frustrating to play. The story and dialogue don't help it either. It is uniteresting and the boring characters make for an overall disappointing experience. The graphics should be more detailed than they are. They look like they could be on the PS2 or Xbox. The game does have a decent sense of speed and easy enough difficulty for beginners. In the end, only diehard Sonic fans should look into buying. Others can maybe get a rental.

I wanted to like this game. I used to love this franchise. However, I haven't played a SOnic game in a very long time. Then my brother rented it yesterday, and I figured, "Hey,I was thinking about getting this. It might be a sign. Perhaps, I'm going to get back into Sonic the Hedgehog!" Not even close. I start the game, with one of the most beautiful cutscenes I've scene outside of Squaresoft, and I got excited. Then the game started, and I threw down my controller in frustration. The controls are so terrible, it can give you a migrain. Hell, it did give me a migrain! Just when I thought it wouldn't get any worse, Sonic passed the baton to Tails, and I almost carved out my brain with a spork. The town levels are pointless, and serve as nothing more than a lazy attempt to copy off of games that do that right (*cough ZELDA cough*). The music, while beautifully scored in the cutscenes, is terrible in the actualy game (but thats nothing new). However, when I have a terrible game to play, it usually becomes acceptable when I can use my custom soundtracks. So I thoguht I'd give it a try! It didn't work. =W=eezer, Muse, hell, not even Neutral Milk Hotel could quell the terrible nausea I recieved while playing this game. Here's the problem, Sega is now an exclusive games developer, they don't have to wrry about hardware anymore, but that hasn't helped them. They haven't had anything Sonic good out since the Genesis, and that is a tradgedy. But let me get into my biggest problem. We still have invisible walls, and linear one track levels. This is the NEXT generation. With all the computing power of the 360, and the insane amount of time it takes to load (think KOTOR, but not worth the wait, they could've put something worthwhile in there. We could've had free-roaming levels, but Sega misses the true spirit of Sonic...freedom. Without that Sonic has become a caged animal, who ever so often gets tested on by the idiots that now make up Team Sonic. For shame Sega...for shame...

After playing the Demo, I'd say that this game is decent, but in fact needs work. It appears to be the E3 '05 or TGS '05 demo, as it does not feature the levels on the newer one. It is less than satisfactory, but not exactly a failure. You can only play as Sonic and the stage is under 1:30. Getting an "S" Rank is extremely easy, and it left me wanting more. Because I know that the game has been improved greatly, I will not give it a terrible mark. I will not have the Details until it is released, but this game is in fact going to get better. From what I played, it got the above rank.
