Get it, or else

This game is great. It combines the best of all the FPS star wars games, with all the games in which you get to be a jedi. It only needs to improve space combat, which is still a must have.

The ultimate starwars game

This game is asom, i don't need to say more, but i will. Besides the almost perfect graphics only beaten by the asom gameplay, you can also be freaking jedi! (btw. if you want to see something funny, play mos eisly:assult and by villans and choose jango fett. SET YODA ON FIRE. all you see is a thing no bigger than a helth canister on FIRE!) this game is crazy cool, that is the bowwom line and is the only reason i rate this game a perfect score!

This Game is Shweet!

This ones got it all! The Best Star Wars game ever! It has all the makings of a great game. Great Graphics, Great sounds, Great features, and great caracters. I mean, you get to play as a Jedi! It's so cool! But sadly no game can have all upsides. There are only two things I think are bad about this game. !st is the new Ammo system that no longer shows you how long before you run out of Ammo except for little ticks in your aming Recticle. You could die from running out of Ammo in the Middle of a battle! That blows!!! And the Space Battles aren't all that they're cracked up to be but they are still pretty good. Well hope You liked my Review. Sincerely, KoolFool20

More great star wars gameplay

This game (along with its predecessor Battlefront 1) has taken its rightful place on my favorite ps2 games shelf. Its sits among GTA: San Andreas, Midnight Club 3, Metal Gear Solid 3, FF 10, Katamari Damacy, and the most recent edition RE 4 (considering how many games I play this shelf contains only 14 games total-I've probably played at least 200 different ps2 games). Anways this game is great. More of the same as in Battlefront 1 except more additions of things that make it funner and way cooler. Jedi!! Nuff said.

Battlefront 2: not that great.

The first starwars battlefront game was amazing on the ps2. The graphics were decent, the stages were large, with little draw in or fog effects, the controls were solid, and the camera angles were rarely obtrusive. This second instalment, seems to have been rushed out or created by another team. To start, in tight corridors, or up against a wall, the camera often goes INTO the wall, leaving you with nothing to see. The graphics, though enhanced, must tax the system, as draw in on some objects, such as vehicles, is laughable, and entire polygonal sections of the ground tend to "quiver" back and forth. The space levels are an interesting touch, but tend to drone on after two or three times of replay; small ships trying to target the same sites, on a few big ships. When piloting some of the space craft, the bombers especially, it is extremely hard to tell if you are even firing your guns when targeting another craft, other than seeing it's power go down if you hit it. The controls are fairly well constructed, but should have stayed true to the original. Unlike the first, in which you could choose which commands to call out, you have one button to bark out orders with, and it almost behaves randomly when you use it. Adding the jedi component was a good move, and it adds depth to the gameplay, as does increasing the a.i. on the oppenents. They no longer run, stand, and shoot, but hide and move strategically. Also, the bevy of dialog that occurs during the game was increased many times over the few phrases from the original. These are all nice touches, but it would seem they came at the expense of a few quality details that made the original so great. If the first battlefront was designed like the second, i would not have been as enthusiastic about a sequel.
