Motorstormin'tastic! :)

Intro: This game is what defines real off-road terrain racing! The game is just visually jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The game is so smooth and dripping with testeronic atmosphere, you'd swear its some kind movie and not think its possible as a game, it's that good. Think Mad Max combined with a lash of Flatout, Road Rash, Burnout, Big Motha Truckers and you've got a winning formula. There is a vast variety of vehicles in this game and each one performs and handles independently. Physics: Wow, this is what we're talking about, the crash damage physics in this game are second to none (bar reality!) lol Vehicles dent and crumple, debris scattered everywhere and they STAY on track, so you've got to be extra careful when you go round the second time as the debris of a car will, and has many a times hinder your efforts! Road Rash stylee: Remember Road Rash on the good old Megadrive? Well subsequent games after the 16bit classics were never quite the same (except for 3DO/PS1 versions). In Motorstorm you can choose to race with bikes and really mix it up with rivals. You can taunt your opponents as well as (wait for it, drum rolls...) punch and smack your riders off their bikes! YAY! :) Online: This is the icing on the cake, the game is pretty much rock solid and smooth, there is no lag even on a 1mb connection. The lobby can be a bit convoluted at times but once you start getting into the swing of things it's a doodle. Online Motorstorming has never been so much fun! Sonic-boom: The sound effects are very well done too, revviing of engines, screeching tires and best of all are the ear-wincing sounds of crashing n big booming explosions! There is a variety of music tracks played throughout the game and most of them suit the game's theme quite appropriately. One track which stands out in particular is by Pendulum, its a very catchy and distinct track with lashings of drum'n bass. It's so good that it had me buying their album! Overall: Motorstorm's a great game, you'd never have the same race twice - from the makers of WRC (World Rally Championship), Evolution Studios have done a fantastic job for the gaming world! A sequel is in the works too, let's hope they enable rumble/vibration as well as viewable/saveable replays. Also, the Motorstorm engine will be used in forthcoming PS3 futuristic racer WIPEOUT! :) 8/10 Pros: - Incredible graphics - Incredible Physics - Challenging A.I. - Smooth Online play Cons: - Lack of offline multi-player modes - Lack of replays - Convoluted lobby sytem - Loading times ~~~FunkYellowMonkey(PS3 tag)~~~

PS3`s savior

Ever since 11/17/06 the Playstation 3 has struggled to get its way in the gaming buisness,it costs too much, doesn`t have any games ans so on.Now the PS3 has its own great game with Motorstorm,a game that is not already on the XBOX 360,that is original and seems like tons of fun.The game does its best to attract people to the PS3,and its certainly not deceving. First, the visuals in Motorstorm are about the best thing ive seen so far,it would be cool to have it on 360,and i would be curious to see who has the best graphics.Motorstorm on a High-Def screen is amazing. The game itself is really fun and addictive, with tons of vehicles to choose from and lots of competitors at the same time. The maps are greatly designed but there aren`t a lot of maps to choose from,if it would have been longer Motorstorm would be even better. Motorstorm is truly a game that anyone would like play or wish they had.Right when i saw and played the demo i could feel this game was going to be special. You "Feel" like you are behind the wheel while playing this game its a satisying game if you have a PS3 consider buying it as it is excellent The PS3 gained more credibility with Motorstorm being released,Motorstorm is a must-have.

Have to agree with critics

Everything about this game is flawless but it's definately too short. That and the fact that it's only single player. Everything else is sheer perfection. Graphic, sound, controls, and online is perfect. It's just a shame that there isn't more tracks availabe in the single player. Need to fill up that blu-ray disc please!

motorstorn delivers

Motorstorm in my mind is a cross between burnout and smugglers run. It is an offroad game which makes it like smugglers run but it has the feel and somewhat look of the burnout series. The game overall is very interactive and fun. Using the PS3 controller to steer makes it more fun. The only thing holding it back is the lack of modes. There is only one mode which is carer mode and even that has some reptivness. Overall i give it a 4.5/5 because it perfects in every aspect but modes and slightly drops in replayablity because of this. Guitar hero 332

Wow

This is the best racing game I've ever played. It is too much fun. The physics are realistic, except for some of the explosions and the tracks are great. Would've been better with more tracks, a deeper game and more user specific customization, but this is a fun game anyway.

this game is crazy good...

i cant wait to get it.... first off... the graphics... they are really really nice... compared to the demo... their alot better... using all sorts of all vehicles.... should be fun online. i have no doubt that it wont be.... and plus they said that their would be downloadable content so thats another thing on the upside.. the only thing that is stopping me to give it a 5 is the amount of levels which should have more...

Great Not Perfect

I believe MotorStorm was a great game containing action and racing in one almost perfect combination. Yet I still think the game levels and courses could have been designed better (those sharp turns and cliffs are sometimes a hassle), but I think the reconstruction of the vehicle after it is crashed is a bit too easy. The designers should have come up with a better way to respawn than the "glow bright and revival" concept they used. The graphics are good and the unique "trigger/gas" concept was alright. I think MotorStorm deserves a great score but it was not perfect.
