This game is done well and u can tell that the developers used everything from the GTA world and made it better. However that is also what makes this game less of a killer app. It copies GTA right down to the controls. The fake names of the cars appear on the right side of the screen, etc. I think this game would have been better if it hadnt copied GTA so much. The cars dont need to have names to make it a good game and the aiming sucks. I think the develpers should have taken the concepts of what u can do in the GTA games and gone from there to build an even better game with the gang theme it has. But too much of the GTA game is obvious and had they name this game GTA VI, everyone would have been convinced. It just feels like GTA III and SA way too much, just not with crappy graphics. This game could have been amazing had Volition tried to pump some originality into this game. The gang wars are cool and being able to make ur own gang online and being able to recruit members into ur gang in hopes of warfare is unique. The online play is what makes this game different than GTA, but the single player campaign is just a mix of GTA III and SA.

At first glance, and maybe the second one as well, you think you are playing a remake of GTA 3. But as you go further into the create-a-character at the beginning of the game, you really start to feel the true beauty of Saints Row...FREEDOM. You are free to explore, rob, cheat, steal, pimp, and shop to your hearts desire from the very start of the game. You can do whatever you want as long as you have the respect to do it. The only problems I have with this game is the pop-in/draw-in, and the fact that it IS GTA 3 with a very pretty coat of paint. Saints Row does a lot to stand on it's own, but the obvious GTA feel does make you wonder if this game could stand out from it's older simblings. With that said, this IS a great game, and it IS a very fun time to be had, and I recommend anyone with a 360 to at least rent it. Don't let your biasedf eelings towards GTA sway your decision to miss out on this great game.
