First I have to say this game is one of the Top 3 gta games no lie This game is just crazy the graphics is good but won't blow you away so their is a lot of fighting in the game I Garente you. You will be playing this game a leat 40 to 60 hours without get pissed. Plus Just like gta San adress their are a ton of cheats so you will never get bored killing cops with your pistol or aka47. I hope you enjoy the game it will be a total blast So just buy.

As a fan of the grand theft auto series i can proudly say that gta 4 lives up to all the hype that it's been storming up! Okay it's true San Andreas does have a bigger enviroment but you'll be to busy haveing an unbeliveable amount of fun to notice any of the minor inconsistencies that the gta series is famous for such as the halarious glitches and somtimes annoying amount of swearing. But the thing is, is that when you pop this disk into you ps3,xbox 360 or pc you will be so engrosed in the world of grand theft auto that you don't ever want to come out. Aside from the briliiant online modes (my favorite is freeplay) this game packs more of a punch than you would think. The game is just packed to the tee with weapons character's mini games and vehicles as well as a satisfying amount of missions. One of my favorite new features is an actual useable cell phone, you can call your freinds and set up dates, call a taxi, or even take pictures with the phones camera. The shooting has also improved greatly, so instead of the regular far distance aiming the camera moves to a closer "over the shoulder" veiw which makes for much better aiming. Also one of my favorite new features is the sheer realism that every bullet makes. When you shoot someone there not just going to stand there as a puddle of blood forms around them, no they are going to hold wherever they got shot and slowly limp away which leads to another awsome feature, in game choices! When your in a chase with somebody and the person tumbles over the side of a building and is hanging on just barley are you going to step on his fingers and watch as he falls to his death or are you going to let him live. These little choices really bring life to your character Niko Bellic and also alters what might happen later on in the game. And after your done the main story there are loads of time wasting mini games such as darts, bowling, getting drunk, vigilantie missions, taxi's missions and much more. So if your in your local video game store deciding what to buy, your garanteed your moneys worth if you pick up a copy of grand theft auto 4. We'll ive got cars to blow up and some guns that need to be shot so have fun buying your copy of gta 4. You won't regret it.

If you compare this game straight across to San Andreas, you see the improvements. but against vice city, its prety equal. the gameplay has come a long way with cover based combat, but the vehicular controls are irritiating at best, and nearly debilitating at worst. My biggest beef with GTA in recent incarnations is the inclusion of the F bomb. Since they started swearing constantly, the jokes are terrible. The funniest parts in the games are when they arent swearing. even listening to Lazlow is far less charming than he used to be. the other issue i have is with the social networking crap. Seriously, i basicls stopped answering the phone becasue its so damn annoying.

buth thats it with the bad. everything else is great. It's still funny, and i realize that they were just trying to do something new and different. there are those little details that push it past an everyday shooter. and for the first time in a GTA title, i have actualy found an intruiging plot and likeable charecters. overall i think if you like GTA, you probably already own this one... but if you dont its definetly worth a purchase. if your not into previous GTA games theres not really enough new content to get you to like it.

Like the rest of the gta games. Its well...gta... kill people,steal cars, and blow stuff up...good to play with friends...and basicly....FUN!

The baseline of the Grand Theft Auto games, with the bare minimum and some surface level polishing. The only improvement from the previous installments are the covering system, vaulting over obstacle animations, controlling vehicles, and overall graphics.

Other than that: expect less weapons, less vehicles, and many more tutorials. Rock Star has an annoying amount of tutorials.

You also will have more dinner dates with "friends." The dinner dates amount to short and forced mini games of darts and bowling. Throughout the game you can spot go-kart tracks and mini golf courses, but none of those are accessible, leading to me wonder if Rock Star released an unfinished game.

Along with these dinner dates comes the story. It's sadly a very emotional affair, and we end up with a character that whines about how hard life is. This is hardly the Niko that I want. I mean, I bought this game hoping to find someone between a Terminator and Neo. Rock Star ended giving us a bunny who needs tutorials and has a limited weapon selection. Niko is a confused, emotionally broken, and in need of Prozac type of character, which is not a character you can easily fall in love with. There are quite a few times during the story where we see the GTA charm shine through, but those are far and between. My guess is that most people will get bored of the story before they complete it, which will be especially true for the GTA veterans who already know the story before ever buying this game.

This is a rather short review because you can read the old PS2 reviews to get a sense of the game; it's the same engine. If this game was the first in the series, it may have received a 4 stars from me. However, the switch from generations did not bring the improvements of the previous installments and the game often "feels" incomplete.

Let me start off by saying that Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the greatest video games of all time!. Period!, the gameplay is excellent, the graphics are top notch, the storyline is pure classic Grand Theft Auto. But, in the realm of Grand Theft Auto games itself, it is one of the greats, but in my own opinion it does not beat Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. But it is a strong 2nd place.

GTA 4 is a great game huge gameplay areas great control and good stores the only problem is that I excepted it to be longer and the multiplayer to be better but other then tahat it's a great game

game is ok good but not the best i bought it and beat it in 3days flat its a little hard but over all good
