Devilishly SHort

Pros Cons
Addictive gameplay Not enough content

Let's start out by saying this is a good game, even though it is a female version of "God of War". The graphics are very good, but not great. The game play was also good. At times the game can get real cheesy. Your sword passes through your intended target, but theirs always hit its mark.
The after-touch takes a while to get, but once you have it, it a great resource. May be in HS 2 they'll give them eagle eye vision and you can zoom in on distant target. The story line is great and I really got into it, but the game is short, really short. May be the developers did it on purpose so we might yearn for more, hopefully HS2 will be longer and not so cheesy. Over all I did enjoy the game, I recommend it as an excellent rental. I bought it for $10.00, and I am happy with my purchase. $39.99, may be a little to high of a price considering the games length.

Hated the Game

I was interested in the game for the first couple chapters. The controls aren't very good. I suggest that nobody buys this game or even waste thier time on it. It's just over rated like everything else. They hype you up to get you to spend your money then it aint worth a shit.

Good but not Great

Heavenly Sword is a good but not great game. The visuals are astounding and gameplay is pretty good too. I turned off the sixaxis controller b/c I was new the game. I would suggest this if you and use to the controller. The game also has a very good story. I would rent this game before I bought it.

And 1 sword shall rule them all...

Although this game was a bit short, for a hack and slash it had some depth. I really liked the control use of the sixaxis, it is so much fun guiding arrows into enemies eyes from roughly 200 yards away. It was also kind of fun to play with how far you can curve the trajectory. The action was intense throughout, and was a bit repetitious but still combined with the story and graphics I was enjoying it highly. The mega-battles were amazing, wiping out 400 soldiers in minutes is a great way to relax.

Masterpeice

Heavenly is a movie in a game. The graphics have unbelievable detail and are by far the best I have ever seen. This game really brings out the Blue-Ray in the PS3. The reason that this game is not on the crappy 360, is because this game is to advanced for it. The gameplay of this game is incredable. I have played hundreds of games with so called "great stoies" behind it, but Heavenly Sword's storyline is unbelieveable. This really separtates it from the "good" games. Now for the actual play. I hate games where all you do repeatably tap a button over and over for the whole game, aand you beat it. In Heavenly Sword, you have three different atack stances, not to mentions hundreds of beautiful combos, that the main haracters, Nariko, makes look easy. When you do beat the game,(it is relativaly short, but....) you unlock a difficulty called Hell Mode. Very self explanitory. All in all this game is my favorate game of all time, due its beautiful graphics, wonderful characters, most incredibale story-line, and all around fun gameplay. This game's frame rate keeps up with itself, never lags. I have no complaints. Just to let you know how advance this game is, it take up more than 2GB on your PS3 just to play. Well, I hope this review helps, have fun playing.

heavenly sword review

this game is really good the story wasnt that bad ad the fact that there are 2 different playable characters is really cool. the graphcs of this game are disapointing but the controls and the game play take up for it.i'll start off with Nariko (the main playable character) her weapon the heavenly sword is by far one of the coolest weapons in history. it's twin blades, Kratos' blades of chaos, and an awesome sword all in one. Kai is very cool she has a cross-bow like thing and what makes i so cool is that you can direct the arrows using the sixaxis. in this game there is a fare amount of comic relief with king Bohan (the evil guy in the game) is is kinda funny....anyway im drawing a blank so im done.

quite surprising

the game is intense but the only downfall is the the length of the game i mean cmon this is not a playstion 1 game. expect a sequel soon with more gameplay hours.

Good. Not Great

Unfortunately, This game was a miss for me. I had very high hopes, but the pretty graphics are marred with poor controls and button mashing. The game is enjoyable and should be something you rent if you own PS3, but all the pre-release hype do not fit this average game. Check out Ratchet and Clank if you own PS3 its a must own.
