When I first played metal gear solid for ps1, i knew it would change the face of gaming.now mgs4 is truly a classic game everything was great i beat it like 3-5 times lol.

This game is truly GREAT! everything is awesome story game play graphics. The stress thing is a little weird but that doesn't even make a difference in the overall game. do yourself a favor if you have a PS3 BUY THIS GAME and if you don't buy a PS# just for this game its that good.

this is one of the most amazing games this generation, the game is addictive,the controls are extremely responsive but it is alot simpler then the other games, it is still challenging and fun, and lets you decide how you want to play, if you like stealth you can try (with great difficulty) to play through the game without any kills or any enemies seeing you, if you want some action then you can play either third-person shooter or FPS any way you play its an amazing game overall, play this in HD and you will cry, i know i did, the story is compelling and even though the cut-scenes may seem long they are interesting and make you want to continue playing to see what happens next, The ending is one of the most epic endings i have ever seen in a game (i was in tears by the end of it) overall its just an amazing game and i think any self respecting gamer should at least try it once and see for themselves if its a game for them

First off let me start by saying Metal Gear Solid 4 is a Masterpiece. Yes I know I ripped that off from Gamepro. *laughs* Sorry Gamepro. Now lets get down to business.

Graphics ~ Metal Gear Solid 4 is stunning. Many people know that. But what shines in Metal Gear Solid 4's graphics is the amount of detail that is put into the characters, the enemies, the grass and sand, the levels,dust and snow particles getting attached to your lens, well everything is very detailed. And it's no surprise that Metal Gear Solid 4 is visually stunning. Metal Gear Solid 3 was visually stunning too. For it's time.*laughs* But still comes second to crysis. But that's beyond the point. And yes, you will still enjoy Metal Gear Solid 4's spectacular graphics on standard definition.

Gameplay ~ What would a great game be without great gameplay? Metal Gear Solid 4 delivers spectacular gameplay. It offers third person view, first person view, and over the shoulder view. You get to customize your weapons by adding scopes, laser lights, recoils, and more. The octocamo suit has been redefined from MGS3 and it looks very good. There are sometimes I even get surprised on how blend blend in he looks with his surroundings. The gameplay aspect is the most enjoying part of the game, especially when your in the midst of a boss battle( not on medium, on hard). Overall the gameplay is awesome and will satisfy you in every way.

Sound ~ This is the best game that utilizes sound in a very great and compelling way. Boss battles feel as epic as always, character introduction gets inhanced with Metal Gear Solid 4's great sound. Especially the introduction of Big mama, Raiden, and The boss. And intense gunfights gets even more insane with the sound.

Extras ~ In my opinion there are some great things that got overlooked in mgs4. One of the is the depth and scale of the game. Although the maps aren't huge, they are pretty big. But what I mean by depth is how many ways you can achieve your goal. I remember I had low health in act 1 and I didn't want to go through the whole gunbattle, so I looked around and found some doors. Those doors led me into a building which I then went on the roof and completely passed the commotion and stress, without a drop of my health going down. There was also this one picture I saw from numerous sites, where snake was holding onto a rope and moving sideways trying not to get noticed by a guard. I don't remember myself being anywhere close to that area. I guess I finished that mission by taking another route. Another feature I like in the game is the cqc. It is very useful if you want to quickly take out enemies without having to wait for the alert to go down. The last and most important thing I love about mgs4 is the cutscenes. Yes I said cutscenes. It really creates a bond between the player and snake. Metal Gear Solid 4's cutscenes feel very epic and nice. Especially when you meet Big Mama.*laughs* Big mama.

Overall ~ There is only one word to describe Metal Gear Solid 4, Masterpiece. The story will suck you into the game and make you addicted. It will make you pick your jaw off of the floor from the amazing graphics. It will keep your heart pumping when you try to go wild and just shoot everyone.The sound will make you feel like snake. And the online is enough to keep you occupied. It has a very very very strong chance to win GOTY. Metal Gear Solid 4 is a Masterpiece. Period.

i love this game, i never been a mgs fan, but this game juz made me fall in love wit metal gear......

I've been blown away by Metal Gear Solid to date. People have criticized the game's story as beign overblown, but it's pretty cool I have to say. The only downside is that the cut scenes sometimes take a long, long, long time, which can get kind of boring. However, the action is phenomenal - in previous games, I always felt like getting caught was tantamount to death. Here I always feel like I can fight my way out of these situations, which is nice. And the game twists and turns like no other game in recent memory. The ability to surprise gamers coutns for a lot. Win!

What amazed me about MGS4 was how great it played as an action game. This venerable stealth series hits a new high with MGS4, and though the storyline can drag on at times, how many games care enough to give you so much content? A great game that really shows what the PS3 can do.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better game on the PlayStation 3. I've never played a better game on any system.

Despite Metal Gear Solid 4's lengthy (and sometimes boring) cinematics, it's preachy convoluted political messages, it's actually the best game in the Metal Gear series since Metal Gear Solid!

Another quality to this game is the massive amount of cleavage it sports--not only is the super sexy Naomi Campbell showing her assets, but even the old bitches ("Big Mama") is getting in on the boob showing. MGS4 is like an espionage-themed day at the Renaissance Fair. And that's to say nothing of the tight latex all the "Beauty" units are wearing.

The gameplay's awesome. Too bad it's sandwiched between two disgusting pieces of poorly told story. The dialouge is awesomely bad, the characters are poorly portrayed and there is so much forced drama that I thought my tear ducts would explode. The scene when *spoiler* Naomi and Octacon are forced to say goodbye *spoiler* nearly made me throw my controller across the room.

But still, the gameplay rocks. I had a lot of fun sneaking around and snapping necks. The guns are amazing, the boss fights are pretty cool and the presentation is off the charts.

It's like a Michael Bay movie in video game form: slick presentation, awesome action, insultingly bad plot and story development.
