The Female James Bond

We all remember the glory days of the N64, when GoldenEye & Perfect Dark reigned supremed. Close to a decade later, Rare decides to do a follow-up. Although I enjoyed this game, it could've used more polish to be the true classic that it once was. The weapons are pretty decent, but to me, the action was steady. Not boring, yet not intense. The AI was average, & the level design was pretty straightforward. Overall, a decent game, but you know it could have offered more.

Perfect Dark Zero not so Perfect

This is a game that takes place before the original Perfect Dark for the N64. This is good FPS overall but their are some flaws, like how the enemies react to a shot they just rub where they were shot then act as if they are fine, also is the voice overs, they are so quiet you cannot hear what they say over the shooting. The game barely gives any replay value except to beat in all 4 modes. If you were a Fan of the first game, or a big FPS fan Pick this up if not wait for a used copy to buy this.

Good start

This was probably the best release title for the 360. It made good use of the 360's graphics and does a good job w/the originality of the guns. (Good start Microsoft studios)

Perfect Dark Zero It's Aiight (alright)

Many remember arguably the best fps for n64 perfect dark. Well perfect dark zero gives me flashbacks to when i used to duel weild the cmp150 and bust caps with the falcon. Howerver the game does not have that fun level of the origional perfect dark and unfortunately not all the weapons. I also wished they had some of the classic courses from the origional PD. The game is just a nice basic shooter to start off the 360 and I dont mind playing it. You can play with bots in an arena which I wish more FPS games did (cause I suck at fps games online!! lol). The rolling gets addicting and is good to help dodge enimies. The campaign is ok but when I played this game I was borrowing the 360 and PDZ from my friend so I did not bother playing the campaign. Perfect Dark Zero: Its not great its not bad its Aiight (Alright).

A great game for the 360!

Perhaps one thing we all miss is that old thousand option ways of that game we use to call Perfect Dark. Has this game met the expectations of many? Is this game close to the original PD? Well the answer is no, but it still stands on it's own pretty well and definitely is a worthy prequel on the 360. The graphics, the weapons, the controls, it's all good. There isn't really a missed key here. What's missed if the immersive storyline that we all loved with the original. But otherwise, the single player is very challenging and co-op(online or not) is a good way to play with a friend. The multiplayer is a big hit. Although not as many options as the original, you can play quite a few games and even play ranked matches. There are glitches that can ruin a match, but it is not as abundant as say Halo 2(okay, so not as many people play this game anyway). Overall, this game is pretty good for it's price and should definitely be played by shooter fans. Not as good as the original, but for a prequel, we can always hope for better on the one that really mattes: the sequel.

An Imperfect Dark

I purchased Perfect Dark Zero with high expectations. I am a huge fan of Perfect Dark and expect great things from Rare, unfortunately PDZ was a let down. Giving it the benefit of the doubt though I did spend many sleepless nights completing the game, hoping to get some unlockable cheats or find myself in a happier time with classic maps. Neither of these arose, what I did find though was a confusing story, a lack of weapons, poor voice acting, slow walking and aiming, and on more than one occasion lost in the ever-confusing levels. The entire game wasn't very well put together, I struggled on mission zero (learning how the game works) and completed the last mission with ease. Overall I didn't find the game the least bit challenging, requiring very little skill. The health bar refills itself after a short time making it nearly impossible to die. Rare really let me down on this game, there is no comparison to it's nintendo 64 counterpart.

Im with ez

"The reason I am bashing it is because the damn thing overheated and crashed one week after i got it. I also have an xbox and to tell you the truth the 360 is not much of an upgrade from what i've seen" ok first off, just because yours overheated doesnt mean its a bad system, only 3-5% are estimated to be faulty systems and/or hard drives Also, of course xbox 360 is not a huge leap.. why dont you go play the last ps1 game and the first ps2 game and tell me how big of a differance there is, only a small jump in graphics and no physical gameplay breakthroughs. It takes time, Perfect dark is an awesome game if you have xbox live, the single player lacks story and the use of your abilities, but this game really takes off in the multiplayer because theres just so many ways to kill an enemy, and anyone who gives this game a 2.5 and killzone a 5.0 and claims its better then halo should obviosly have no say in whats good from bad in video games.

What's the matter kdobra89, mommy couldn't afford a 360?

Is this why you keep bashing the Xbox and Xbox 360? If you aren't going to give an honest review then don't post you Sony fanboy. Go play with your Dreamcast with a DVD, err, PS2.
