I don't know what the bad reviews below are talking about. Not this game. If you've played just the Demo, You know how amazing this game is. The AI on easy, which is probably what these guys were playing it on, is not that intelligent. On Veteran, the AI seems to step it up a notch. Enemies know when your waiting to snipe them. Mission variety is great. I really enjoyed playing as the Russians in Stalingrad. After beating it on Normal (didn't take but a few hours, I've started again and got through the russian missions on Veteran. Super tough. Patience is the name of the game. Health packs would be irrelevant since 1 head shot can kill you. The graphics are sick on HD and multiplayer is a ton of fun. This is definately the game to buy when you get the Xbox 360!

Now you might be wondering what to get with that brand new Xbox 360 you just got. A game perhaps? Well, Call of Duty 2, for the Xbox 360 would be a perfect choice. With all the excitment of war, but on your couch, you can fight you way through 3 campaigns agains the evil Nazis. First, the Russian campaign. A simple campaign of only three missions (the missions are always long, but don't worry, there'll be intermisions between sections), but good for starters. You Begin the game in training and believe me, you'll need it... unless your a born player like myself. But the training is helpfull in getting you off into the wonderfull world of COD 2. After you fight your way in the snowy land of Russia, begin in the deserts of Africa. You play as a british soldier through, give or take, 6 missions. I don't want to give away to much, so I'll skip right to the American campaign. Personaly, this is my favorite of all the compaigns. The only bad thing is that you must complete every British and Russian mission they offer. Overall, COD 2 is a game for people just getting into the world of Xbox 360. It was my first game and I loved it, so I'll bet you'll love it too. That brings up my rating for the game. Yes, I think it's a great game, but I'll assure you that I'll probably never give out a 5 out of 5 because Then too many game will be getting ill scored. I try to look into things like replay value and how good a game looks, which few games have either or. In fact, the only game I'd give a 5 out of 5 for is Halo: Combat Evolved. But anyways, Call of Duty 2 is a good game for the launch. I hope you Enjoy it!

ok kdobra89 , how can you rate a game you dont own, and how can you btch about the AI when you clearly havent played it on veteran difficulty? This game is decent and worth renting if your a fan of the series, its good but not as good as all the reviews that it gets, you have to really appreciate shooters to settle down with this one.
Great Game, don't listen to the fanboys

I gotta admit that I'm not a big fan of World War II games myself but I played this game on a demo Xbox 360 a few months back and decided this would have to be the game for me whenever I get my 360. Now after purchasing the 360 and Call of Duty 2 I must say that I am not dissappointed in the slightest. The graphics in this game are truly awesome and I have seen no crappy framerates at all (not sure what the other guy was commenting on there). Also the AI is challenging if you're playing on anything other than the Easiest difficulty setting. If you really want a challenge try it on Veteran difficulty setting - a true test of anyones patience and fortitude.
F***ing sucks

I thought Quake 4 was bad. I would rather play mario kart than this. The game visuals may be better than current consoles but when it comes to comparing it to the pc they are the exact same thing. The smoke effects are what probably prevented me from giving this game a 1. The frame rate is exceptionally bad(although not as bad as Quake 4) and i've seen better enemy A.I. on the sega genisis. If you have already made the mistake of buying this game than do yourself a favor and shoot yourself in the head.
