New Super Mario Bros.

Nintendo has done it again. Yet another title for the Ds meant to blow you away. It has a great list of features such as a customizeable backdrop, pocketing items, and even a plentiful assortment of minigames. This game is especially fun when trying to collect all of the star coins. This game took a classic and reinvented it in the right way. I think this game gets my 5.

Somethign borrwed something new

The New Super Mario Bros is new in a sense that it adds much improved 2d graphics to a twenty year old game classic. At first look New Super Mario Bros looks and plays a lot like the original Super Mario Bros. Whats different is Mario's movement is closer to the N64 Mario movement, he carries momentum with himself and takes a second to really get moving. The graphics are great and the repaly value is close to that of the original. While the advertisemnts may show Mario grow to take up the entire screen it is only featured in a few maps. Most of the time it has to be grabebd at a shop. The rest of the items are pretty weak compared to Super Mario Bros 3. The fire ball is the same and the blue shell turns Mario into a Sonic the hedg Hog character. This game is by no means bad however its nostalgia rubs off pretty easily leavign the gamer to want more depth such as Super Mario Wolrd on the SNES.

solid

I like the game and it has good 3D graphics but the music is a little repetitive but it is challenging to get all the coins in every level and has good boss fights. Other than that its a good Mario game.

Where's the 4.9/5 rating? I want to rate New SMB 4.9/5!

This game is awesome. If you don't have it, get it! Oh, and if you get tired of the main game, try competing against someone in Mario Vs Luigi mode or playing some Minigames. I would've rated this game 4.9, but that's not one of the options on the list. There's a 4.75 and a 5.0, but no 4.9.

New Super Mario Bros.

Great game. Seriously great game. Such a great game, it'll have you addicted, shunning yourself from society and your loved ones to the point where it's taken away from you. At that point, you sit in a dark corner and twitch in lack. Otherwise, you go to Sam FIsher extents of stealth to get it back. Anyways, this game is quirky and addictive, as I said. There's always a trouble in explaining just why these kinds of games are so fun. It's a platformer, and it's Mario. I could say just that and it'd be fine, but I won't. You play as Mario and you have to - Whoa! Here's a mindblow of plot change - save Princess Peach! The castle's been burnt down by a mysterious figure, and as you go to check-up on it, a mysterious figure steals the Princess. You have to go save her, or else she won't compensate for your countless deaths with making you baked goods. ....Anyways, this game is awesome for all; hardcore and casual gamers; old-school Mario lovers and newbz0rz; 6-year-olds and citizens of ancient proportions alike. It's addictive, and the aspect of adding these "star coins" in each level add A LOT of replay value. These are placed in basic places and floating in oblivion some times. Along with these the secret pipes constitute an enjoyment in returning to the worlds too. The aggrivation can make you rip your eyes out with a blunt rusty spoon and the fun will put a smile on your face, and the numerous forms of Mario you can transform into assist in the heaps of enjoyment you will endure. Bottom line: If you own a DS, you need to get this game, or Miyamoto will hunt you down and shove a blue shell up your nostril and beat you with a Wii controller mercilessly.

The Plumper is Back!

Finally, I new Mario game for my handheld that feel fresh and a bit old school. The is one beautilful game on the DS system. The game has everything you love for the old games as well as some new stuff from the newer games in the series. You'll be collecting coins, mushrooms, 1ups, jumping onto flag poles, etc. There is a total of 8 worlds that are filled with goodies. Story wise its what you expect from Mario. The Princes is missing and again. My two main issue with the game is that they forgot to include past power up like frog suit, Raccon Suit, etc. Your stuck with only mini Mario, Fire, Star, blue shell, and large Mario. What Happened NIntendo?! Last thing is Nintendo didn't do much with the touch screen beside just touching it to get your item and warping to different stages. Oh yeah it has Mini game include but I rather say it about the main game itself.
