This is one of the best DS game out now, featuring amazing graphics and sound, great gameplay and loads of stuff to keep you busy, whether you're alone or with friends.

this is agame that is fun but is hard to accualy beat unless you ar ea master at snaking. Another problem is that it is dang near impossible to get a 4 star on any level in the game.

WOW~~~!!!~~~~ I love this game~ I play it for hours at a time and it never gets old. I myself have beat the whole game but I am still interested in it. Theer is two minigames you can pick from and they are both very fun. When you are in race mode it is also fun because ther is always that one person who is always on your tail. I do recomend this game to everyone because it is really fun.

This game rocks!!! The game lasts about 10-15 hours(or shorter) and has 35 playable karts and 9 characters. The graphics look great(for a ds game) but it's sound sounds a little cheap.The controls are great, except for when you do a mini boost. It eventually begins to make your carpal tunnel syndrome act up. Other than that this is an excellent game that doesn't oversteer, and combines good gameplay with graphics and also features wifi.So in short, buy this game if you haven't already.

Mario Kart DS is one of those games you can never trade in because you never know when you'll want to play it. There is a pretty short main game that you can breeze through in a week or two, but the real challenge comes when you want to play people online, and you have to be really good. I don't know how they do it, but other players wiz by me at lightning speed. I think that these players (probably from Japan) toy with me letting me stay in 1st until the last minute and then zoom by me at the finish line. They have somehow become immortal in this game and I am a mere human being. But aside from that, there is good balance to the game. My sister and I and my cousin get together to just race it out. We are all at the same expertise level, and it becomes fun to see who can edge who out. There are also other multiplayer features that make this game worthwhile. One is a balloon match. You start with 3 balloons and when you get hit hard or smashed by a box or turtle shell, you lose a balloon until you have none left. When you run out, you turn into a ghost and ride around watching until only one person is left. And then there is a sun mode where you try to collect sun medallions by getting them on the map when they appear or by knocking them out of other players. Whoever has the most medallions when the match ends wins. It sounds simple, but it adds a lot of depth to the game that already has lots of tracks from previous Mario Karts and is a great retro feast with its own charm. I think this is work every ds owner's money.

OK ths game brings racing to a new level its amazing. Nintendo keeps on upgrading games in a whole new way. Mario Kart DS is hard to explain. Put it this way it kicks any other racing game off the track. BOO YA

This is the premier reason to own a DS. The racing is pure fun, mario kart 64 style. The control works with the D pad, and the bottom screen is used to see the other racers and their items. It really is hard to describe the mastery that is Mario Kart DS. Buy it for yourself and see.
