Quake 4 is one of those games I put off getting and I recently picked it up at a budget price. It was a great find when I found the bonus disc was Quake 2 one of my favorite PC games ever. I only wish it would have adopted Halo's grenade button. I really missed it running through the corridors.

Quake 4 is a great looking shooter. It's on par with what people have seen from Doom 3 on PC. They use the same engine and it runs great on the 360. The lighting keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next bad guy to jump out from the darkness. There's a nice twist in the early going when you'll find yourself getting transformed into one of the "freaks". I don't want to spoil it for anyone but was really different.

Great game for your FPS collection if you don't have enough of them laying around already. I actually played through Quake 2 first because it was a blast back in the day and is still pretty good now. Quake 2 also has it's own set of achievements which was a pleasant surprise to the Achievement whores out there. I'd give Quake 4 a 3 out of 5 but because of Quake 2 it gets a 3.5 from me. Nice find overall.

Quake 4 has nothing new. Quake 4 is basically Quake 2 except with better graphics. You play as Matthew Kane a solider who survived a gruesome Strogg attack on Space Station Armstrong during the Strogg attack on earth. Your assigned to Rhino Squad which is basically a bunch of brainless marines fighting because they are told too. The AI is horrendous I remember seeing my medic run up to a Gladiator!!!!!(Dummy). The vehivles are a good touch but Vehicles in games have been around for ages..... Nothing really nice beside Blackhole weapon. and no bots in this Quake either.... Overall though its ok.

Ok, This game can be purchased right now for only 20 bucks and if you're a fan of first person shooters and you missed this one and you don't have it get it now while you still can. It is the perfect blend of old school doom like gameplay with next gen technology and they mix to make a great game. The guns in this game are the some of the most creative guns you could ever get to shoot. Plus there are cheat codes for all guns and ammo so you can just blast away without even thinking twice, I love it !!!! This game is full of gore and scenes of torture and I won't ruin it. The graphics in the game are awesome and the only negative is the frame rate can drop at times but the game is just so cool it makes no difference. The enemies in this game are the Strogg force that have tried to kill all humans and take their remains to make more strogg with. It's a very bloody game, I love every second of it. Plus you get to man some pretty cool machines. This game is a true gem, don't miss out.

There should be a Quake movie announced soon. I'd even love to star in it! I'd play as one of Earth's younger heroes. It would be badass!

I like this game better than perfect dark. This game is a nice addition to the series and if you like shooters like doom, i would get this game. It is no gears of war or halo, but it holds it own in this realm of fpshooters.

The main reason I purchased this game was the fact that I read somewhere it had the "best graphics of any 360 game so far" and I wanted to see what the system was capable of myself. After playing the game I must say that I'm sorely dissapointed as the graphics don't seem to be that great and I honestly believe Call of Duty 2 to be a MUCH better looking game. Also the framerate seems to drop a bit too much for my tastes and the animations within the game seem a bit choppy. Gameplay wise the game plays alot like Doom 3. While I found Doom 3 to be a fairly good game it's not one that I really looked forward to seeing rehashed yet again. The single player experience is mildly entertaining and Xbox live multiplayer isn't that bad but nothing overly exciting. If you simply must have a shooting game for the Xbox 360 I'd suggest Call of Duty 2 over this. If you can't stomach a WWII game though and prefer the Sci-fi scene then this just may be the game for you. I'd recommend trying Perfect Dark Zero first though as I hear some good things about it but haven't played it myself. All in all Quake 4 is a mildly entertaining experience.

Hey kdobra89, I am sure you think it is a waste of money because you have none. I am also sure you DIDN'T buy a 360. If you did you wouldn't be trying to steer people away from the 360. Don't listen to this fanboy. PS3? Yeah, it is going to be sweet and I will get one too. Right now however 360 is the best thing out there. Quake 4 is a really fun game to play. It does have some framerate issues, but nothing too major.

This game has ok graphics but the gameplay sucks.The framerate is horrible and the enemy AI is worse than mario 64. Dont make the same mistake I did and wait for the PS3.

If you have evr played quake three or any of the quakes in particular, your not missing out on anything. Infact its the same as quake three only better graphics. I found alot of bad framerate issues through out the game, in one part when your shooting on a monorail it gets so choppy you wanna friking through the controller out the god damn window (hehehe). The graphics arent all that great espcially for 360 they coulld have done better.And the multiplayer is just plain and simple deathmatch modes (perfect dark zero is sweet online).All and all if your a large quake fan i suggest you stay with the third,if not rent first... always!!! (remember this is a launch title there will be better... much better) Iam liking GEARS OF WAR!!!
