Whats so great about this game

Everyone always says this is the game that will make the ds bigger then the psp. This game is boring. Everyones like lets spend $40 to buy a game where you train puppies and teach them tricks. Yeaa that sounds like fun. The graphics are very good for a ds. The game has a good idea but it is not that much fun. I recommend it for die hard dog lovers or ds owners looking for something orignal.

You Cannot Deny Innovation

Nintendo has always been known for it's great ideas, and Nintendogs is no different. The realism of the puppies on screen is astounding, and everything from the toys to the poop is cute. Gameplay with the puppy is awesome, although teaching tricks can become and annoying and repetative experience. Aside from that, you can walk your dog, play with your friends virtual pet, and even enter into competitions (Best In Show anyone?). Now, if only we could breed a bull dog and a shih tsu...

dogs + videogames= ?!

This game (the labrador version) was pretty darn fun. It starts to wear on you after a while though. The touchscreen is uitilized very well and in my opinion this is the only DS game where Nintendo has managed to effectivley show off everything the DS can do and how well that works in the gameplay. You train your dog, feed it, groom it, enter it in events, and walk it around town. Overall its a fun game and I look forward to seeing what Nintendo does with this concept. Perhaps in the future we might see a Nintendcats.

Nintendogs barking up real life.

Hi, I'm InuyashaDuelist, and this is my first review. When I first saw the Nintendogs commercial on tv, I was expecting the following things: 1. A boring game where you train your dog for 5 minutes, and you beat the game already. 2. Contests that you beat without any thought 3. You don't do anything else besides training your dog for 5 minutes. I was very wrong. From the moment I turned on the game on, and used the DS stylus to knock on the door to the dog kennel, I was bought. I went in the kennel, and got my dog. From that moment on, I loved the game. It's like having a real dog... only better. Everything is virtual. No real-life bothers. Not to mention the graphics of the dogs in this game are nearly real-life style. They took a lot of time to make them perfect, and it was worth it. That's the thing though, the only things they really spent a lot of time working on are the dogs. The other graphics are very bad. Worse than some of the first 3D games made. That isn't a big deal however, because you won't even mind. You'll be paying too much attention to your dog. Graphics- 4.5 Now, the sound is this game varies, but mainly it's just repeat, repeat, repeat. Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, because the flow of the music acts perfectly with the calmness of the game. At times, the music changes, and gets better with the timing. Sound-4.5 It's very easy to get attached to your little puppy. The truth is, you might love this dog more than a real one. You can take it for real-life like walks, play games with it, and remember what I said about contests? NEVERMIND! They are actually very challenging. Gameplay- 4.5 The controls for this game are simple, yet sometimes annoying. You use the touch screen to pet, train, and walk your dog. You use the DS mic to train it. Pretty simple huh? Controls- 4.5 Let's recap. Graphics- 4.5 Sound- 4.5 Gameplay-4.5 Controls-4.5 If you want a real dog, you should re-think it. Get a nintendog, it's much, much better!

It's fun poking dogs!

With the Tamagachi being well past it's prime, the world of gaming was due for a pet simulation. Nintendogs is that game. With eighteen different breeds to chose from, you should be able to chose the dog thats right for you. It feels basically like The Sims, but with a puppy twist. You feed them, bathe them, and let them do their business (and you clean it up by poking it!). Hooking up with a friend is fun. If you meet with their puppy, it will be available for purchase it your version. Voice recoginition also plays a major role in gameplay. You can teach your dog tricks by saying them. If you're a dog lover or just want to play somthing different, Nintendogs is somthing you should check out.

Doggieee

I love doggies, espicially my doggie which I named Gorilla Mask. He is a little weiner dog, but he throws up and shakes and sheds all over the place.
