As I scrolled through the abysmal reviews of the 360 by Xbots and Sony Fanboys, I've decided to review the 360 myself. When you turn on the system, you are greeted with 4 menus. Choose between Xboxlive, Games, Media Player, and System settings. The menus are pretty easy to understand. You can download lots of stuff in the XBL Arcade, you can play demos in the Games menu, listen to music in the media section, and change settings in the settings menu. There's also that big guide button smacked in the middle of the controller. Use that to bring up your friends list, send messages, play music, and more. It's definatly helpful, but it can sometimes freeze your game. The controller itself is very nice. The black and white buttons are gone, replaced by very comfortable bumper buttons. I must say, the D- Pad is horrible for fighting games. I don't know what Microsoft was thinking. The A,B,X, and Y buttons are better than the old Xbox's. They don't dig into your finger like the controller S's, and they aren't analog anymore. The games are good too. I won't call this the best launch line up in the world, but there are some great games. Call of Duty 2, Dead or Alive 4, and Project Gotham Racing 3 are all great. The future of games doesn't look bleak either. Resident Evil 5, Gears of War, and Full Auto all are looking awesome. The fact that there are two different systems is rediculous. No one in their right mind would buy a core system, they aren't even available in Japan. Nice move MS. I was unfortunate to get stuck with a Core System (after waiting overnight for one). Luckily I found a HDD, which are very hard to find. Stores seem to be getting more 360s in stock, but the whole shortage of systems is unforgiveable. I would definatly reccomend the 360 to any non casual gamer. The graphics are great, there's some backwards compatibility (some!), and the online elements are very cool. So if you're willing to pay $400 and you have high speed internet, go for it.

First off I am not an XBox fan, or a Halo fan, I own all the systems, except the DS because thats $130 I could spend drinking myself stupid instead of playing Elf Bowling. I didn't buy this system when it first came out, I was lucky to stop by a store that had them in stock a month ago and I grabbed one. I have to admit, it was hard to pull me away for the first several weeks. Eventhough I don't have a HD tv the graphics still look amazing. The interface is my favorite part of the whole system, I love the fact you can chat with a friend who is playing a different game. Also downloading demos for games saves a ton of money, I almost bought Condemmed until I found out I pooped myself during the demo. To all those that are waiting for the PS3, they may be waiting until Nov or early next year, so to them I say pick up an XBox 360 it has and will have some unquie games all its own. I love Kameo, Call of Duty 2, and Dead or Alive 4 right now but I am looking forward to Burnout, Ghost Recon and Too Human. Go look at Saints Row and tell me that doesn't look like fun. Peace out and I hope you give it a swing.

So far everything about this system seems EXTREMELY well designed as if the Ipod folks had been working on the system. The ergonomics of the contollers and wireless controller ability is great. Games have run smoother than any other system I've ever played. The charging adapter is necessary, but well designed. My only beef is that it took so long for me to get one! My old Xbox games were all compatible without going on the website, which is what I read you had to do to get retrocompatability. I wish it included broadband wireless in the system, since the $99 adapter seems a bit steep as well as the $50 extra wireless controllers.
I hate microsoft

I only have one thing to say is that the xbox360 kills at high definition graphics which means it destroys the competition at better graphics and gameplay

I only have one complaint about the 360 and thats the delayed games. Oh, and I don't think it counts If a Playstation Fanboy gives the 360 a low rating.

people who could not get a 360 will score it low because they are upset cause they did not get one. now that out of the way here we go this system rocks. this machine gives people what they want and need. xbox 360 is a gamers dream come true. yes there are some glitches in some of the systems just as ps2 did when the lens was damaged from playing the blue bottom disk. i will get a ps3 when it launches in the states. but lets give microsoft there just due they worked hard to give us a hell of a system. stop hattin and start giving our state side brotheren a pat on the back and say well done cause they did well. peace out!!!
