Star Wars Episode III Revenge of da Sith

Pros Cons
Addictive gameplay Lousy camera/viewpoint
Tight controls Annoying audio
Just plain fun Repetitive gameplay
Intense action
Fantastic multiplayer

Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith is no doubt a fun game. The singleplayer is long and actually lacks a lot of difficulty but the singleplayer is still very fun to play. Mulitplayer is interesting because you can go against another player or you can battle the CPU. Also there is a cooperative mode which puts you in a mission (other than the singleplayer missions) and also lets you fight cooperatively with your friend/sibling or the CPU. This game is fun but if you're not a Star Wars fan this game will be pretty boring for you.

Good storyline, graphics...

Okay the graphics are a bit lousy (and blocky) but some features actually save this game from total destruction. One is the ability to experience what would have happened had Anakin killed Obi-wan rather than vice-versa in the final scene. Prettttty cool. Another is the bonus level, and mission which allows you to fight Darth Vader as Ben Kenobi from Episode V. But my 3.5 is given simply because 90% of the time you're just wandering around fighting some type of battle droid, whether it be a droideka, Grievous' guards, or whatever, and most of the bosses (like most games) can be beaten through an ideal pattern of attacks rather than using a strategical, well-thought out plan.

Finally, some light saber action

Ever wished you could wield a light saber? In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, you get that chance. As a Judi Knight, you must master your light saber throughout the game, so you can vanquish evil. Finally, all Star Wars' fans can breath a sigh of joy because your prayers have been answered. If you like the movie, then you will love this game. The game is very cinematic. A cut scene will show a clip from the movie, and without missing a beat, continue as an in-game cut scene with characters rendered from the game. The player feels as if they are a part of the movie. The game is limited, however, by this linear game play with little room to roam freely. The fun factor makes up for that minor shortcoming tenfold. The camera angles are good the majority of the time and the combat system holds up well. It does take just a little bit more strategy than button mashing your way through the game, but not much. The player can use experience gained from each level to increase the skills of their choice. The game is to short. The default degree of difficulty offers little resistance as the average gamer can slice through this game in an afternoon. The couple bosses in the game may require you to play them 3 or 4 times to beat them, but levels are a breeze. There is plenty of variety in the levels and the story. You will not be able to put this game down. It does offer 6 bonus missions once the player beats story mode. No 2-Player story mode though. I would also like to see a mode that offers all of the best Star Wars characters from all the movies and allows them to battle it out in complex arenas with light sabers. That could be a stand alone game in itself. Despite these things, the game tells a wonderful story and is very entertaining in many ways. Don't miss out on the second best Star Wars game ever (the first being Star Wars Battlefront). Rent it today and enjoy. ~Kevin Nuest

A single Jedi has enough arogance to fill seven deathstars.

You know what, people might think I'm crazy, but I liked this game. It really gives you this feeling of being a Jedi/Sith. It also gives the whole Star Wars package. You get the amazing music, the beautiful graphics, and the characters (sans Jar Jar) (yes!). The game is fairly simple, and the controls are very derivative of other action adventure titles (A to jump, X to preform a quick hit, Y to preform a power hit, etc). And there are some bothersome glitches (I'd get caught in between walls alot). But despite these probelms, the game gives a very immersive experience. You can do everyhting you see the characters do in the movie (except for hitting on Padme) (perverts). The characters move with so much fluidity, its amazing, considering that all the animations were done by hand, and not motion capture. What really makes the game cool are the lightsaber battles. Those are simply amazing. Whats even cooler is that theres an extra multiplayer VS mode fighting game which allows you to pick any of the Jedi/Sith you've felled. Sure this probably won't, and shouldn't be considered the best Star Wars game (cough *KOTOR* cough), but it still is pretty decent, and merits at least a rental. Have fun fallen Jedis, cheers.
