You call this fun?

Utterly boring....that is all you need to know about Bully. He's not a messed up kid, he's not even a mean kid. The story revovles around a child that plays mild pranks with an attitude, but the pranks are far from new or original and lack humor. Your best friend is a real bully, but more like a sociopath without doing anything except saying witty lines while picking on a kid. The game is rated TEEN, and that is what you get. The fighting is pure button mashing and charge strickes PERIOD. So why play a game that lacks an edge, trys to be cool and falls flat doing it, makes you wonder "why should I play the next pointless mission if I get nothing worthwhile out of it?" Rent this game, get the media blitz of unecessary hate towards this game out of your system, and realize what it really is, a boring game that is shallow in comparison to any sandbox game, but it is well polished as far as play controls. PS--So you're disappointed in Bully and need a real story? Try out Rule of Rose and see what controversy really is (its similar to the Butterfly Effect in twisted events). Also for the even more sever controversy gamer, check out an old copy of Manhunt from Rockstar's past where you are the star of a snuff film (kill people violently as a means of arousal). Just avoid Bully at all costs if you are over 18yrs old (yeah I'm 24, so :P )

You must be the new kid...

Although it is created by Rockstar, Bully should not be immediatly compared to GTA, as every PTA parent in the country is doing. Yes, it has an open world, and violence (though no guns, blood, or death) but Bully is much more than that. As 15 year old Jimmy Hopkins, you must survive school at Bullworth academy. The school features stereotypical cliques, such as Bullies, Nerds, and Jocks. You do various missions for each clique, most of them involving fething something or doing something that angers a ribal clique. The sheer number of missions will stagger even a GTA player. There is just so much to do in the game. However, a few problems do arise. Strange glitches such as the enviroment materializing around you, and framerate issues are suprising, considering the amount of time Bully was in development. Still, it is very easy to forgive the game. All it all, Bully is not GTA for kids. It isn't even GTA's little brother. Instead, it takes a saterical look at the lives of school kids everywhere. Bully is the perfect swan song for the PS2, and there is no reason for you not to own this new form of social commentary.

About the Rating Rumors

I Read in http://www.gamespot.com/news/6157638.html?q=bully in the follow lines Brendan Sinclair, GameSpot sucks says: "I think that Take-Two generated a lot of unintentional bad will with the Hot Coffee fiasco, and I think that they are trying to enhance their reputation by avoiding controversy where it doesn't help their business," Pachter said. "Bully will be just as fun with a T rating as it would have been with an M [for Mature> rating. To be honest, I think that Manhunt would have performed better with the violence toned down a bit. It was an incredible game but got a lot of criticism from the gaming press for over-the-top violence." -In my opinion, I don't think this Bully game will have a TEEN classify!, this is a game by rockstar ala GRAND THEF AUTO STYLE and we wait for the same Mature content. This is why we not belive in that Gamespot opinions... "if you wanna play kiddy-strawberry games play NINTENDO" the adults needs more M rated games in PS2... one because we have the money and two because we have the rights to play better.
