This game is awesome in every way possible, graphics its got some very nice shader effects, the lighting and scenery are amazing too the body count is pretty awesome too as more and more bodies just pile up and up and up. Though the inclusion of a better physics system would have been nice (aka COD3 which better be coming to PC like NOW!) anyway, the storyline is brillant well obviously its the same as any other WWII shooter its based in a World War for starters, and you get the chance the play as three characters one from each of the three main powers from the War, the British, the American's, and the Russian. There are around 7 missions for each and the game is pretty long too averaging at around 15 hours maybe more depending on the difficulty you raise it too veteran is near impossible and you WILL die around a million times a mission as its like two hits anywhere on your body and your dead, basically like GRAW's easy mode lol :) The doesn't take much to run on PC depending on the resolution you it at i run it at 1680x1050 at max settings with 4x AA maximum texture settings, Adaptive AA enabled to Quality, AF at 16x and HQ AF enabled too the game runs pretty smoothly averaging around 55fps - 60fps though sometimes the smoke gets a little too much and it does slow down I just put this too the fact that the game is coded using OpenGL and ATI cards have some trouble with games coded in this. However the game is superb the controls are awesome, the game play is fast paced and can get very hectic I just really want COD3 to be released on PC now so I can blast that wide open.

this addictive call of duty game has you playing throught the deserts with the british and features american and british campaign. The graphics have seriously stepped it up a notch. The gamplay is much more open. Also a great feature much like halo no more medic packs will be found. To recover you duck behind any cover and you are revived this helps so you dont have to go back and search buildings for left over medic supplies

Call of Duty 2 is FANTASTIC but you need a powerful machine to play it and a high speed internet to update the game if you go online.
Excellent...

COD2 is excellent the levels are intense, they will have you actually ducking and talking to your men, as if you were actually there. The levels are varied greatly and you never feel you are in the same place, its always a fresh experience. In COD2 I could absolutely care less which ally I'm playing because each campaign is so different from the others and are completely unique. The Russian levels have you placed mainly in fierce street fighting battles in the cold and snowy Russian front. The British campaigns are based in the desert and in one level have you driving a tank and in the next have you on top of a building guiding artillery strikes. The American campaign has you landing on the beaches of Normandy, not running accross the beach with bullets flying by your head as you picture it in Saving Private Ryan or MOH but instead it places you as a Ranger scaling the cliffs of Pointe Du Hoc. Men fall down the rope and bullets and grenades are being shot and thrown past your head ultimately leading to the defense of Hill 400. The graphics are amazing, the guns look excellent, the landscapes are great and the character models are realistic. The sound is what really gets you hooked, there are never dull times where all you hear is your gun being fired and the enemy's groan of agony as he falls. There are always fellow soldiers screaming at you or the Nazis, guns being fired, and the sound of bullets whizzing by your head. I did encounter some minor complaints, just small things, like: being able to shoot accurately with a colt .45 or a Thompson a LONG ways away and at times having it be more effective than an M1 or a K98, the health system gives you a Halo-like invincibility feeling, whenever badly hurt, just hit the prone key behind cover and wait for your health to come back to full(i am NOT a fan of the health pack system or this one but if i had to choose i would pick the regenerating) If you have the cash, pick it up, you wont be dissappointed.
Spectacular

When the Call of Duty 2 Demo came out a few weeks ago, I finally stopped worrying. The level was exciting and the graphics were awesome. The retail version follows through too. The single player game is intense; "potato-mashers" blasting everywhere, tanks breaking through walls, and krauts around every corner. The level design is top notch as the game takes you through the ruined cities of Russia, the North African theatre, and the French countryside. A nice new addition this time is the ability to choose which objectives you accomplish first in some missions. The missions also have you doing lots of various tasks, which keeps the game from getting monotonous or boring. In on mission you have to defend a town thats being attack from all sides, and then get to the roof of a building to direct artillary at oncoming tanks. In another, you get to climb into a tank and fight your way through the superior panzers. The awesome single player game is coupled with the addicting online multiplayer mode to make the ultimate package.
