Fun as hell

Although it's been well shown that the single player mode isn't nearly as good as the original Ghost Recon (Due to the one fire-team, limited team control thing). The online features make it completly forgivable. Co-Op makes the missions incrediably fun and the Sqaud/Solo modes give you a tactical combat experence you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. If your an online gamer, buy it.

Piontless War

The Ghost Recon series has been around for a few years and has had two expansion packs for the pc and ports for the PS2, X-box, and Gamecube. It was a good game that was pretty real, based on the any bullet can kill you. But the sequel (which i might add is not for the computer) doesnt live up to the original. Graphics The graphics are pretty good with lush jungles and wartorn battlefields. The first level starts you off with an intense firefight between British comandos and North Korean forces. The intensity is shown by the bullets wizzing by heads of enemys and explosions left and right. The action is shown from an over-the-shoulder view piont making you feel in the war. Sound The sound is decent with the atmosphere of a war, bombs exploding and guns blasting is pretty adreniline pumping. Gameplay Exelent multiplayer. But the single player lacks everything that once made the game great. This game is frustatingly diffucult and unfair. I had to play the first level countless times to just get halfway through. There is an in game save feature to lighten the pain. This game tried to do an over the top action/military game but i found myself wanting to play Socom 2 for the PS2. If you are hardcore GR fan then RENT it.

Ghost Recon 2 - It's okay...

They need to add the stealthy stuff that splinter cell has and the gore of resident evil 4. shooting off body parts and so so. playing this game alone can get old and boring. its more of a party game then a single player game....

wow... i never thought it could get messed up this easily

First one is so much better, but lets go to the good side, it adds some new features and weapons like expected but it just doesn't do anything else right. The control can get a bit unresponsive or sticky at times, the game is so changed it doesn't feel like regular ghost recon anymore. Unless have a lot of pacience and are a die hard fan of the series don't buy it. Maybe it's worth a rental.

Those who liked Ghost Recon will love this

Those who didn't like Halo 2's no-strategy online play may wish to give this game a go. Most of the main features that made the original a classic has remained relatively unchanged except that not you're reduced to one fireteam so you cannot flank enemies and the maps are somewhat more linear (though they aren't really boring). Some major differences are the 3rd person view and the majorly improved graphics, as well as some minor features like an actual menu for equipment and the M29 "camera gun" which is a nifty (yet cheap) tool. Overall, fans of the series should pick this one up while others may opt to rent it. Be warned, finding a game online is hard but once you do, you can play for a few hours so it's not a game to just kick back and play.
