All the aspects of this game are incredible except for the games their selves its as if their copys of PS2 games but I am sure once the software makers get the hang of it, the PSP will be the new ipod. If you break it down the PSP does everythying the ipod does but more (especially with the new firmware updates (2.7). except for the memory space (ipod=60/ PSP=2GB memory stick or 4GB add on hard drive) but the bottom line is its just the beginning
The most amazing system out there.

this system offers both great games and innovation. Already many companys are trying to copy it but this is the best. The games are an amazing amount of quality and fun. the fetures are unmatched by anything else. And if no one heard, the new double battery life lith-oin battery is being released. if you also need to check your email or look something up on the go, dont bring your laptop, just your psp. stop by a coffie shop and browse the net. now seriously, If you rated this anything less than a 4.5 you have NEVER owned one and probebly never will. I dont care if you went off and got a ds, but dont take your anger out on the psp. 2D grainy games arent innovative. if you like the idea of the stylus then get a pocket pc, atleast that way you can play shareware quality games. you might as well be comparing a pre-SNES vs a voodoo laptop.

Psp kicks DS butt with its abilities like videos, music, photos, awesome graphics, and wireless multiplayer. The bad side is that it is expensive ( I am now poor) and it is too hard to get online... (still haven't got online)

convergence is the hot topic these days. putting more bells and whistles into a product. well for the psp, it's either a hit or a miss...we shall see as the days move on by. anyway, the psp my experience with the psp has been negative so far. the first unit received died. the umd drive kicked the bucket after a few hours of playing on and off. my replacement has memory problems. so far replacing the memory stick, data corruption has not occured again (knocking on good wood). i have three dead pixels on my lcd screen. the manufacture of lcd isn't perfect, it's expected that your screen could contain dead pixels. the buttons and the analog nub works fine with out any problems. again as of now my only concern is the memory slot. could the memory stick suffer from heat of the umd drive or my hands holding the unit. thus causing data corruption or is it the read write contacts of the memory slot. the psp is sexy, but it's a dust and finger print magnet. after an hours play with my unit. my unit felt like someone was playing it while eatting fried chicken. it's to bad that they couldn't have used a different material for the front. the battery lasts about 6hours tops so far from me and that's from gaming. i really don't plan on listening to mp3's or watching a movie, so i can't give you a break down for power consumption there. over all i'm some what happy with my purchase. hopefully there would be better titles and accessories released in the near future of the psp. that's my take on my psp so far.
DS better, but still kicka**

First of all the battery life lasts like 6-7 hours for me so, unless you have no life, there's never gonna be a time when you NEED to charge and your not near an outlet or a car charger. Graphicwise any idiot knows the PSP is supior to the DS. It rivals some PS2 games and is unbelievable compared to the prior generation of handhelds (SP's and GBA's). Gamewise the PSP is having standard games, as in you have your controls, now play, but the DS is getting more creative with its use of touch screen. If you can stand the N64 graphics and lack of analog stick you'll enjoy the DS's touch screen games if you like to try new things. An unfortunate thing is that PSP comes with a "value pack" which includes a movie, demo UMD, headphones, etc. All this easily adds 20-50 dollars to the price which is why it's at $250. I honestly think it would have done far better at $200 without the value pack, since some people simply want games. Now if you've got money to spend I recommand the PSP because right now the games on the DS are pretty bad except for maybe 3 and Nintendo is doing a slow job of coming out with games that really utilize the touch screen potential. While is Sony is enticing gamers with high technology and special features like movies, I would ultimately prefer the DS because it's innotive. Naturally if your short on cash the DS is the way to go, but if your rich and looking for more than just games get the PSP. If your a hardcore gamer and planned accordingly you'll be like me with saved up cash enjoying the DS and PSP at the same time. You'll ultimately end up getting both for some once in life-time game that is coming out for only one and when you do you'll realize that both of these are awesome and that you were better off getting both because they are kicka**.
I actually have one.. unlike most of you.. and it is amazing

I got a PSP in NY city at the large Toy R Us and it was packed! so many people were there and it sold out fairly quickly. The PSP is completely amazing, the launch games are fairly good (better games soon) and the graphics are completely unbelievable for a handheld. Also the ability to play over the internet wirelessly is cool.. cant wait. Movies are cool to watch on the PSP with its large screen (comes with Spider Man 2)... Also my PSP holds about a 7 1/2 hour charge... Stop fu@#ing dissing the PSP... its the best out there!
I dunno

The psp does look good, but when people try to make something that does too much, they tend to skimp on everything to make sure it does a little bit of everything. the ds is for games, i don't care for either if em really, but the ds was built soely for games. because of that it could be the better choice for GAAAMES. ahh f*@k it get a psp...
