If you want an original game with a great cast of characters and great level design, you will love Psychonauts. From the level in Raz's brain to the psychadelic black-light level. And who can forget The Meat Circus. Remember, don't feed the clowns.
Thanks for the second chance, Microsoft!

One of the great things about the new Xbox Originals program is that it gives low-selling titles a second chance. And if you buy one Xbox Original, make it Psychonauts. Don't pick up the original version, though: it was plagued with technical problem.
While the writing and narrative are done very well, the gameplay is also pretty good, too. All the different psychic powers are mostly fun to use, but some of them lack much use (Confusion and Clairvoyance are almost completely useless outside of the levels you get them in). Not only are the powers fun to use, the puzzles are also pretty original - I haven't played anything that comes close to replicating the puzzles in the Milkman level.
Psychonauts isn't perfect, though - there were times when the game seemed to be too difficult. Plus, the ending was kind of weak - after everything was all wrapped up, they created some more loose ends, turning the ending into a cliffhanger.
Those are minor complaints, though. It's too bad that a game this great got such poor sales. Still, if you're looking for a good Xbox platformer, then you should try this.
Loved it!!

This is the first game i've given a 5 score to. I absolutely thought it was great from beginning to end. Majesco is an amazing publisher even if there games don't sell well. There's so many good things that i can't list them all; excellent control, EXCELLENT story, graphics and sound are good too. You can get this game for 10 bucks now, a must buy!!
My favorite game ever

This is one of those rare game that has almost nothing wrog with it. The game is absolutly amazing. One of the best things is how unique and creative the levels are. It never feels repetitive. Every level has its own styles and puzzles. And the voice acting is phnemonal. every single charector has a unique voice that sound really good. And most of the characters are funny. This is one of the funniest games ive ever played. and it has some of the most fun and challanging puzzles. They make you think and use all of your pychcic powers. This game has something that few games right now have, an interesting ans compeling story line. There are many twists and turns that make you want to play on and learn more. In short, when it comes to Platformers you cant do any better than this. Almost nothing in the game is bad are done wrong. This is a must buy and I STRONGLY recommened it.
No longer be trouble by the mediocrity of Xbox platformers...

Upon hearing that there would be a new Tim Schaffer game I was a bit excited. The upon hearing it would be a platformer on the Xbox involving psychic powers, and psychology, my interest was peaked. However, it took me longer than a year to finally pick up this title, due to guilt. This is one of the best games the Xbox has to offer, and definetely the absolute best plaformer on the console as well. The story starts out simply enough, you are a gifted child. Your abilites have been shunned by your parents. Trying to nuture it, you find you way to a secret training facility for psychic agents of the government. From there it takes off, and the comdey is absolutely spectacular. One of the few funny games out today in the current generation. I will admit, I played the first few levels, and was completely dissapointed, but once the platforming took off, I was hooked. The powers you gain are easy to use, as well as fun. I can't tell you how much enjoyment I got out of using the Psychic jump ball. Not only is it funny, and a blast to play, but it is also challenging. A few times I had to sit out and think about some of the moves I was going to make. But its challenging without being frustrating, which is exactly what you want from a game. All in all Psychonauts is one amazing title, that should never have been overlooked. (Cheers.)
One of the best games as of now for 2005 next to Doom 3.

Psychonauts Review By: StarFry64 Tim Schafer has made great games with LucasArts like Day Of The Tentacle (a fun cartoon-game) and Grim Fandango (had great graphics). This game has been in development for 4 years and as it turns out, it's a great and fun game though it is a platformer. The graphics aren't better then Grim Fandago's but it's still superb. The sound is great with its music that makes the gameplay comfortable. And also all of the voices in this game is great from humans to animals and such. The gameplay is bascially you traveling each mind and try to retreive it and each mind is totally different. The first mind you go into is military traning and of course this is your first level. And later you go into these minds and it has great parodys or something which is good and fun to be in. The tilt is totally better than the PC which gives the PC version's tilt a 6. The value is hard to think of because this doesn't have online co-op but it's stilla great game and you should go get it.
Loads of Fun
