What can I say that has not been said of this one. I don't agree with the perfect rating, but this is good fun none the less. And I hate racing games. After many hours at a friends house putting him in a wall, I started to feel the charm of this game. By yourself meh, but with a friend, Kudos!
Better than revenge.

This arcade racer gave new life to the Burnout series and boy is it damn good. There are multiple game modes to choose from including Crash, Race, Road Rage, and others. This game is also great online. Truly a great racing game.

I guess I should start off by saying how much I HATE racing games. They just aren't as fun as they use to be back in the day. That is, until Burnout 3 was released. Everything about this game screams fun, from the insane speeds you get from racing rival opponents to the sadistic satifaction you get from taking them down only to watch the crash in slow motion. As much fun as that is by yourself, online play over Xbox Live pumps the fun up from 10 to 50. You may think you are the best racer around in your home of loserville TX or nowheresville NY, but until you can race against and beat the very best that XBL has to offer--you are just a little boy in a large man's world. I highly recommend Burnout 3, even to casual players. If you actually come across someone who doesn't like this game, chances are they are just as dead as that dude in The Sixth Sense...they just don't know it yet.
BURNOUT 3 Takedown Honest Review

Where most racing games reward precise navigation and flawless driving, Burnout 3 welcomes players to embrace their inner road rage. Races are won by tailgating, cutting rivals off and slamming them into walls. In Burnout, running your opponent off the road is as viable a tactic as drifting. This game is a much better than its follow-up, Burnout Revenge. Far and away, the best modes are the crash events. Players are given a single vehicle to wreck into oncoming traffic, the goal being to cause as much property damage possible in the ensuing pile-up. It's like playing billiards with cars instead of balls, and you are the cue. And yes, it's every bit as fun as it sounds. Takedown has the rock-solid control you'll need to navigate several lanes of oncoming traffic at blistering speeds. The simple controls ensure that anyone can pick up and start causing damage. You'll find none of Gran Turismo's technical handling here this is arcade racing at its finest. Visually, Burnout 3 is a stunner. The sense of speed given by the steady framerate is awe-inspiring, while the cars and tracks have been rendered with fair detail. I'm prepared to call it a very pretty racing game. This is the first Burnout title under the wing of EA Games, and unfortunately, this means that Burnout 3 suffers from a soundtrack that can only be described as a mediocre lineup of pseudo-punk crybaby rock. Some people may dig this stuff, but even with personal preferences put aside, it simply doesn't fit the game at all. Equally atrocious is the game's DJ, who constantly will cut into the music mid-race to deliver a witless quip or an "important" announcement, like "visit EA.com for more Burnout action," just in case you had forgotten which game you were playing. Thankfully, the crystal-clear crash effects and engine noises are more than enough to compensate. Burnout 3 has an extensive online component as well, and while there have been a few problems with EA's netcode, it remains pure bliss to slam other human players into guardrail oblivion. Long story short, the online options could very well extend Burnout's replay value for months. Minor flaws aside overly angsty soundtrack, typical in-game EA product promotion, slightly longer than usual load times Burnout 3 is a must have game for anyone with any interest in racing titles whatsoever. A near-flawless gem of a game.

Burnout 3: Takedown Review By: StarFry64 Burnout 3 is the best game I ever played! With its nonstop speed and awesome crashes that most racing games lack. It is truly a superb game that is right for you, even you don't like driving games. This game feels like a action game for some reason. The campaign is just so fun to play even though it isn't that orginal. You can unlock so many cars, tracks, and etc. The gameplay just makes you want to play it for 20 to 40 hours. The graphics look TOTALLY TOTALLY better than Burnout 1's. And makes 2 points up for its graphics from Burnout 2. Although the music isn't the highlight of this game, some songs in the Burnout 3 soundtrack feels right for the game as you go through your journey of madness. For Xbox owners, you have a chance to listin to your own custom soundtrack while also playing this game. But you can only play one song in one race. This game doesn't even have a tutorial, but still with it, it makes the tilt even better. It's a fast game to learn easily and should take only up to 30 minutes. This game totally makes it as the best driving game ever made and is the best in the Burnout series. This game is totally at its best with its value, GO GET THIS GAME NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE.
Crashing has never been so FUN!

It hardly seems worth writing another review from a game that has had nothing but perfect marks, but then again that is Burnout 3: Takedown! If you're thinking of buying this game you better get your seatbelt and safety helmet on cuz without it, you won't survive the first event let alone the game! Only few car games have ever relied on actually totalling the vehicle in order to succeed, and even then they're not worth remembering. Burnout 3: Takedown however just keeps you crawling (away from the wreckage and the 20-vehicle pile-ups) back for more. The longevity of the game is well-sustained through the numerous events such as the classic race, last one to the finish line is not only a rotten egg but also an explosion of metal, shrappnel and fluffy dice, and of course the time trials. What gives the game added CRUNCH however is the 'crash' mode in which your aim is to cause as much damage in dollars to other people's vehicles resulting in multiple pile-ups down the highway! You cannot help but feel sorry for the poor sweepers who have to clean the mess away. The game controls are simple and perfect, the graphics are stunning, especially as you "accidentally" veer into a rival which sends him crashing into a tram and watching in slow-motion as his car disintergrates into lots of flying sparks and shiny metal things! This game is a must have for anyone a fan of racing games, and lets face it, anyone into computer games full-stop! Car games have never been one of my favourite genres, but this one took my breath away. I only feel sorry for the poor insurance companies who have to deal with these claims!
The game is also good at burning out time
