| Just plain fun |
Madden is a classic. It's been around for generations, and this game is no acception. In my opinion this is one of the top Madden games out. By far, this is the best Madden for PS2. The only reason to buy a newer madden would be for roster changes and new players, but still, Madden is absolutely amazing. This is a great game. The graphics are great for the time it was made. The phrases are new. The defensive tactics are great for this game. I think possibly the best madden of all-time. Check it out. Get out and buy it today. You can get it at gamestop under 5 dollars, so why not? THis is the perfect game for Madden fans and old-school Madden fans. CHECK IT OUT!!! By the way, the career in this game is great, and compared to the new games, I think it's better. This game is revolutionary for it's time. It's a must have for Madden.
This game sucks.

Madden 2005 is one of the worst football games i hav ever played. There is nothing new on this game that i have never tried before. The gameplay is boring and repetitive, and i'm tired of hearing John Madden talk on every play. Overall, this game is horrible. It is no fun at all. If you have bought this game, you should have returned it for a refund.

The new Madden 2006 is the best they have made yet. The new story- line for the Madden Superstar is the best things I've ever seen for NFL. I also like the import for the NFL Street or NCAA Football 2006 characters for the Superstar... The people are enhanced and updated, and Vick is still the best thing that happened since 2003!!!

this is 2nd best game ever best football game you will ever play. the new story line centerel is a great featcher thy really did a good job at that. when you look at the back af the case the styel of game play looks like arcade but it is not. that is 1 of the 2 bad things in the game the other is that when you play it gets cinda old and esay. the hit stick is onather great part of the game i love the hit stick becouse my brother is the falcons so i have to tri to inger michel vick wish is easy when you comine the hit stick with ken hamlen it always works.

I prordered Madden 2005 special edition. When I brought it home the first thing I did was played clasic Madden games such as Madden 94.They were cool so were other features s8uch as the trivia. The game was great and all but man it was slow.Snails could have crawled 5 miles and the loading screen still would of been going. And all though I liked franchise I dident find it as easy to use as it was in previous years.Thing seem more hidden in it for example how the fudge do I release players? And this year ea missed out of putting many rookie pictures in the game.Im the kind of guy who likes puting faces in the lineup not blanks! Although franchise was hard to get things done in I liked the graphics and the create a fan was really cool.I'd reccomend this game to any hardcore Madden fan but the game just feels like something is missing and moves to slow.Good game ea but you left a few bugs and when i preorder somthing and it says i get a t shirt with it and i dont it makes me angry where was it ea where was it?Well enough rambling for me just buy the normal Madden Special edition is not all that different. Ok so this was my origianl review once I really started to get in to the game and then I realized that this truly is the best Madden ever its so real I love it.Madden reigns King and as for ESPN the only reason anyone would buy that crappy game is because its cheap!Madden all the way especially the special edition. P.S,Ha ha I got it before most gamers I preodered it and got it on the ninth most of you guys had to wait till its real release date the 12th!
the best just got better!

Wow, Madden did it again. First off, this game does lag a little bit sometimes, but that's not enough to not get it. The Hit Stick is sweet. Late in the game, I picked one off and was almost gonna run it back for a TD, but my brother used the Hit Stick and lit me up and made me fumble and he got it back. He went on to win :'( Also, I was playing the Vikings and the defensive controls helped out a ton on covering Randy Moss. I double teamed him pretty much the whole game and I did shut him down. I know that ESPN might have better graphics (although Madden's weren't too dissapointing...), but Madden definately has better gameplay and controls. '05 takes a bit to get used to, but when you learn how to use the Hit Stick and the new defensive controls, you'll see that Madden still owns the market. I highly recomend buying Madden 2005. Maybe the Collector's Edition doesn't interest you, but you should still get the regular version. ESPN doesn't have the Hit Stick or the defensive controls, just better graphics and first- person mode. Wow. Madden just keeps getting better and not dissapointing me......
