Mercenaries is a great game with awesome gameplay and plenty of things to do. As the title suggests, you play the part of a mercenary sent to North Korea to do some contracts for the nations fighting there. You are given assignments to kill these top ranking officials that play an important role on North Korea's side. They are called the deck of 52 and each one of them has their own rank from 2 of clubs to the Ace of Spades. As you do these assignments for each faction you lose and gain popularity from them. If a faction starts to dislike you, they will fire on sight(just makes it all the more fun, hehehe). There are plenty of things to do in the game and plenty of bonus mission. There are tons of fun things to buy in the Russian Black Market. Aside from all the cool features though, the game is just incredibly addictive , you never find yourself bored in the game, if you don't want to do a mission, you can always just go join in a gunfight, or get a helicopter and level some buildings. Overall, it was a great game and incredibly addictive. Whoever you are, there is something for you in this game.

I just finished this game a week ago (only god knows how). First of all this game has the worst graphics ever. Hopefully the next one won't make the same mistake they did on this one. Then there are like only 15 cars to choose from at each place unless you want to buy this awesome h3 in the begining. Then its like impossible to catch all of these stupid number cards, its impossible!!! overall horrible game never buy it or you will know you wasted 20 dollars on the worst game ever.

Graphics: 4.50 It really uses the PS2's capabilties to the max...it's not as pretty as Heavenly Sword or Bioshock, but it's one of the best for the PS2. Gameplay: 4.75 Intense action, sort of like the GTA series. Blow up cars, buildings (with enough firepower), PEOPLE! Take it easy in a civilian car or go all out with a tank, even seize the sky with a helicopter!! Storyine: 4.25 Faction mission, side jobs, etc... Work with the Allies, Chinese, South Korea, and the Russian Mafia. Side jobs are for quick cash, which you'll need for vehicles and the "omega" BUNKER-BUSTER BOMB! The game features a compilation of bounties called "the deck of 52". It is like a playing card deck; Diamonds, Hearts, Aces, and Clubs. Replay Value: 5.00 You will NOT want to put this game down, it's that good. 'Nuff said. Overall: 4.50 A buy. A definite buy. This game will be a Diamond amongst your other games. i like this game very much man bom bom ! it is enjoyable my whole family liked .it destroy everything that stands in your way. burn them blast them do anything you want. it is a free world!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very good game. It has very open areas and a GTA style sandbox map but on a smaller scale to save you travel time. In this game you are a mercenary in a war torn korea. There are different sides you can choose and the more you side with one side the more the others hate you. This game has tons of replay value where you can just blow things up. Order a drop of a car and then some c4 just to see what it looks like exploding. You can do anything almost you want.

I know what everyone's saying. 'Great. Another GTA ripoff.' Well, you know what? I like this ripoff. It has alot more action than GrandTheft Auto. In GTA, you can kill people with a bazooka & even a tank. But you may need codes. In Mercs, you can find a tank easy, & just hijack it. You can even hijack a chopper. Hoo-rah! You can even level whole city blocks with an air srtike. Try doing that in GTA! The vehicles aren't as fast, but it feels good having buddies fighting along side with you. You have a hard time keeping all the nations happy, but it's fun all the way thru.

mercenaries is one of the best war games that i have ever played.its the only game that i know will let u blowup everything . and its a good way tp let of some steam. i give it a 5.0

Yeah it does remind me of SW:BattleFront. Easy, with some fun stuff. Its basicly BattleField 1942, variety of weapons, many vehicals to drive, and, again, like battlefront.Third-Person, here, three characters to chose from, a nice aray of weapons, and cars. I'm practicly saying the same thing, right.Okay, I'll shut-up. An average 3.5.
