The only football game you will ever need.

NFL 2K5 is the only football game you will ever need. This game has everything you want in a football game. The gameplay is sweet, the graphics are solid, and the sound of you hitting a RB with a 300 pound DL never sounded better. Even though this game is almost 3 years old, it is still very popular with football fans. I strongly recommend this game if you do not have it.

ESPN NFL 2K5

The best damn NFL football game out there. EA's game doesn't even come close. Just try to stop my Miami Dolphins and Ricky Williams. NFL 2K5 still rules.

ESPN (4.0) VS. Madden (4.5)

well, Madden: PROS: the new feature of weekley news paper is great, it updates you on how your team is doing. CONS: the newspaper repeatedly shows the same articles/ types of articles. its gets really boring. ESPN: PROS: faster loading menus then madden has to offer. the feild (literally, the grass and ground) looks nicer than madden, the stadiums are nice also. come off-season time , their are actually pics of the rookies u will be drafting. (unlike madden). you can "talk a player out of retirement" will a couple extra zeros at the end of his footballl days. CONS: Gameplay... simple as that, madden just beats ESPN at game play, either ESPN is too easy or, its too hard. it is not uncommon to be winnin 52-6. it isnt as realistic as madden.

$20. lol. more like 5

this game was horrible. icouldn't believe how everyone hyped this game up. player models are cheap looking. the controls are out of sync. i don't know what they were thing about the receiver icons. L1 for your number 2 receiver. this game really sucks. i wouldn't pay $10 dollars for it.

They..could..go..all..the...waaayyy!

Graphics 4.5 Sound 4.5 Control 4.5 Football games have basically been a two-horse race for the past couple of years. For a while it seemed Madden stood alone, but the good folks at Sega Sports had something to say about that. Yeah, its pretty. Yeah, controls are as inviting as a long lost friend. Yes, the annoucers are actually interesting. Let's not kid ourselves, though. The fun of this game is dropping 80-yard bombs and ankle-breaking jukes on your best friend (who might just become your worst enemy). Playing ESPN NFL 2K5 makes you feel like you are really part of the game. Really, that's just not an overused cliche. You get legitimately pumped when you pull of a big play, and you get genuinly pissed when someone picks off your wayward pass. The AI on this game is very wide. On the easiest mode it is nothing to rack up 200 sacks a seaon and 100 points in one game. On the hardest level, new definition to "humbling" is given. The opposition will pass the ball around like the only spoon in a soup kitchen and linebackers use your QB for a tackling dummy, which will make wins and big plays that much more savory. Adding to this is the realistic qualities like real crunches of bodies when defensive and offensive lines collide and the chorus of boos when you pull off a big play in somebody else's house. To fully appreciate the game, you will have to play multiplayer. There are few things more joyous/irritating than when a kickoff is ran all the way back, depending on what controller you are holding. One of the few drawbacks of this game is the annoucers, although interesting, don't always follow the game. They'll casually be talking about the last play while your player is running down the sidelines for the score. For whatever reason, the goalposts are transparent at times, and during celebration scenes players will walk right through them. Other than little blimishes, the game is the real deal. And $19.99 isn't an "asking" price, its begging. No need to rent. Buy.
