Way of the Samurai is not about mad killing everything that moves. It's about picking fights with people and fighting with techniques. You can parry, block, throw your opponent off-balance for an instant kill, and do crazy combos with simmple button presses. Each sword swings differently, and if you use them for more than 5 enemies, they start to gain abilities, such as a thrusting stab, or a thrust stab with a flip your opponent over your head with your sword combo, and no crazy combo buttons to push, just forward triangle, then press backwards for the throw. With lots of people to interact with and many different ways to move the story, the game has at least 3 good playthroughs that are entirely different, plus your sword gets better each time. I recommend learning a strong thrust, and then killing off a major opponent (one with dialogue that you can talk to) and use their sword for some real fun. Be evil, be good, or just don't care and watch people die around you begging for you to intervene. Great fun! This game is difficult though, since if you die, that's it, and you better have a save point with your sword you liked. With good difficulty, fair gameplay, good hit detection, the only thing better than the second way of the samurai, is the first, since it was the original. Worth a purchase or at least a rent if you like Samurai at all.

This game just sucks it looks worst than some psone games.The gameplay is ok the fighting is ok but with all those combos and swords they all feel the same so it is just better to block and hit back or end up dead and having to start all over. The voice acting is bad very bad. Sure the game has over 10 ending but you wouldn't care to play it over again and the game is just not fun.If you want a great samurai game get Onimusha,Onimusha2&Onimusha 3 each one is one of the best games ever made and part 1&2 are for $19.99 each new trust me get them and not this so called crap of a game. This is even worst than the 1st Way of the Samurai and looks the same .
