Good Link In The Chain

The system was pretty unique to me. It brought most of the Kingdom Hearts feel to a handheld system, so congrats on that. Its cool that you are able to play with Sora as well.

KH fans gotta buy this one!

Graphics: 4.00 The graphics, if you've seen the screens, are clearly not up to KH par, but give the game a break, it's on the GBA. It's not the best graphics you'll see for the GBA, but it'll suffice. Gameplay: 4.60 The gameplay is not intense like KH 2, but it's a little better in my opinion. You use the keyblade tp battle, and you have cards you use. EX: An opponent has a card with the #4, if you have a card # higher, you can attack...if it's lower you can't attack. If it's the same, both of you get a "Card Break". Storyline: 4.75 As always, people expect great storylines for the KH games, and boy does this one deliver. You start in Caste Oblivion, and when you reach the stairs, you get to choose from 5 worlds. Then when you beat that world, you choose another, and another, and so on. It sounds repetitive, but you can be on one world for 5 minutes, and the next for 2 hours. Replay Value: 4.00 You will eventually beat the game, it's not one of those games that sit around gathering dust. I have beaten it 2 times and I pla it every 2 or 3 days. You will put it down, but you'll come back. Overall: 4.25 The game, overall, is good. It's not better than KH 2 or 1, but it manages. If this game were a PS2 game, MUCH more people would appreciate it...mainly because it wouldn't be 2D.

Great story and is the best game I've ever played on gameboy.

I didn't actually want to play this game or even buy it, but m brother got it for his birthday, and before I knew it, I had whizzed through the Sora Mode. Then I got stuck on the final Riku, but in time I beat it. (I went to www.gamespot.com and found a great card deck to use.) Then I whizzed through Riku's story and got stuck with the other final Riku. All I had to do to pass time was level-up, so I got to aroung 70something and I kicked some face! (The reason I say face is because if you kick someone in the face, they'll remember it.) So I would recomend buying this game!

Card Battle? in a game, actually good? Impressive.

Don't let the dreaded card battle class of this title scare you off. It is a fun and exciting game that requires skill and strategy with every excruciating boss fight. The game should take roughly 20 hours or more to complete both Sora and Riku's storylines. The game is one of the highest quality games ever produced on the GBA, housing 3-D quality videos that resemble the first game from PS2. It picks up exactly where the epilouge in KH left off and will again lead Sora through the worlds of the Disney animated film franchise along with the Final Fantasy charcters fans have grown to love. My favorite part of this game is the story line. It is original and sets the player up for Kingdom Hearts II. It is a difficult game to master relying heavily on developing a strong deck of cards that are used to attack. Each card has a number and must break the opponents cards to counter and attack. It proves to be diffcult when dealing with boss charcters and can get frustrating until a strategy to defeat the boss is developed. Deck building is not the only interesting and original aspect to this game, the exploration part may have been skimped on, but the games also features a leveling system that is similar to an RPG. A player will have a choice between raising HP, Card Points to buld a stronger eack or learning speical combo attacks. Each time a player levels up they must make this choice. It has proved to be one of the mroe in depth titles I have played on the GBA and well worth its price tag.

Portable keyblade action

Kingdom Hearts on the GBA, who woulda though it? In case you were wondering this isnt a spin-off, it's actually part of the story. This takes place between KH 1 and KH 2. The combat system in this game is based on card gameplay. It's very different and interesting however also a bit uncomfortable and confusing at first. Personally, i prefer the old combat system and i know most people would agree. Well anyway the games graphic and sound are alright and controls aren't too bad. The story is interesting although it might be a little confusing at first. The game isnt insanely difficult however some bosses are really irritating (Riku...). When you finish the game as Sora you can play through it again as Riku so there is some good replay value. I recommend this for KH fans but for anyone else, a simple rental should suffice.

KH:CoM all around review

Kingdom Hearts CoM is a rather different departure from most sequals. Though it extends the already interesting and complex story, and has excellent dialog, the gameplay is the most lacking of all. Though the "card" fights are innovative and new, its complicated and difficult to master. But it is probably better than just a simple sidescroller. The cards are a nice idea on paper, but didn't really translate well into play. Plus, the game likes to challenge you by putting you against AI oppenents who can swiftly navigate their card stock and and preform sleights in a blink of an eye (Riku for one). This makes the final boss look like a pushover. The story is the most interesting part, paving the way to Kingdom Hearts II, by introducing a new group of enemies and new story archs. But, at the end of this game, you'll have more questions than answers (Well, till after KHII). Well, this is a well made game for the GBA. It will have you laughing and feeling sad. But if you hate reading, this game is not for you. But overall, if you have played KHI, you have to play this game. The graphics are good during the CGI sceens, but there is a remake. Kingdom Hearts: Re Chain of Memories, included with KHII Final Mix+. (Only availbly in Japan, but may come to the US)

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories As good as it's predecessor?

Alright... This game is awkward at best. Card battles should be reserved for Yu-Gi-Oh! Kingdom Hearts should stay the same. No card battles. My other complaint is the same enemies. Sure, you might noy encounter Fat Bodies at Monstro, but everything else is everywhere. But it does keep you guessing, which, well... keeps you coming back.

Yay!

Most people tend to disagree, but Kingdom Hearts: COM is a gooood game. The graphics are some of the GBA'S best. There are some issues however. 1.You don't fight side by side with disney characters! Instead you use an annoying card combat system-which is fun when you get used to it. 2.Every level is built almost identically, The opening doors is annoying and some bosses are REALLY hard!!! 3.iF the following don't bother you too much.///Then check out Kingdom Hearts for the GBA now!!! It's really fun!
