Better than average game. I would recommend the game to anyone that like these types of games. No real changes but new maps. Maybe not the best installment of the game but still fun.

wwe day of reckoning was a very good game when it first came out, this game is still a must buy its a great game, but the only problem is the fact that their isnt much fun once you have beaten it. On the upside the graphics are great and the game is very fun and will blow you away when u play your first career mode. Have Fun!!
the best wwe game i have ever seen!

the reason i like it is beacuse you have more of an effect of when u get up in the other 1's they get up in a certain amount of time. Another reason is u can control when ur character is going 2 submit so u can start getting angry early.
Best WWE GameCube game so far.

I can say this game is quite addicting. The music and sound effects are totally awesome. Aso, the superstar modeling improved a little bit, so this game doesn't hurt to try either.
NOT THE BEST BUT NOT THE WORST

Right now we all know the wwe shows and ppvs suck. Thank God we have games. This a good game don't get me wrong but is you have other systems get SVR or wait for Wrestlemania 21 for bill's big black box. However if all you have is a Gamecube(such a shame) get this. Of all 3 games of this kind on the 'cube it's the best. I like the grapics, some of the best I have seen. What holds this game down is the story mode(what the hell were tey thinking), and lack of match types in SVR. All in all I had fun with this and now its only 29.99. If your a wrestling fan you will love this game but if your just a fighting game fan you will like it but not as much. Point blank buy it, its worth the money. Peace Out-RN
i dont like this game that much, it sucks alot, raw vs smackdown is better

After 2 dissapointing games on Gamecube. THQ FINALLY delivers us a decent wrestling game. With one of the best wrestling games Of this year. And in some ways surpasses Smackdown HCTP. First off the Graphics look great, As does the character Models that just look amazing and far surpasses HCTP. Kane actually looks like Kane, and not some deformed looking Uncle Fester. All of the arenas look just like there real life counterparts. The devolpers did an amazing job making The Wrestlemania 20 Arena. Heck they even added an ambulance In the No Mercy arena just like in real life. The Gameplay is solid. It almost plays like WWF No Mercy (N64) which is great cause Its one of the greatest grappling systems In wrestlings games today. Pressing A, does a light grapple, While Holding down A does a Strong Grapple. Which doies more powerful moves. The blocking is easy to do as well. You use the 2 shoulder buttons to block. (aka Left for grapple, right for striking.) . The soundtrack to this game is awesome, for a while sadley the game did'nt add enough music tracks in the game. So the music gets repetitive. This game has so much to do like u can tinker with match modes so u can have submission matches, First Blood matches, Fatal 4 Way Hell In A Cell. Not to mention theres also a great CAW and you'll spend over an hour just creating your wrestler and edit all the moves u give him. And adjust his stats. Then After all that you can take him through Season Mode. Where you start out as a Jobber. and you earn your way to Sunday Night Heat. Win some matches, Then you get to go to Raw Or Smackdown. While this mode is fun. The fun sadley dies out, since theres only one story in season so there really is not much use replaying it. But with all the cash you earn in season mode you get to go unlock Moves, Outfits, etc. Overall if your a wrestling fan or love playing multiplayer games with friends. this is the game for you. Overall Score 8.75/10
Okay, now can we please go back to No Mercy?

Ever since the N64's masterpiece WWF No Mercy, produced in part by AKI, wrestling fans and fans of the game have been longing for another game like it. In WWE Day of Reckoning, Yuke's misses the bullseye yet again. By and large, the game did accomplish the minor goal of improving over the last GameCube title, WrestleMania XIX. Character models are more realistic, the story mode has a plot that actually looks like something you'd see on television and many other details have been tweaked in a positive way. Most importantly, the majority of the gameplay has remained relatively close to the feel of its predecessors. Unfortunately, the oversights prevent this game from being truly great. Designing an entrance is downright frustrating compared to XIX. The soundtrack, while a welcome inclusion, gets very repetitive after a while. The story mode is all but identical whether you choose to join RAW or Smackdown, hindering replay value. Perhaps worst of all, the roster of WWE superstars feels like it's only half of XIX's selection. This is especially frustrating when you can only select five different participants for a bra and panties match. Overall, the game is still fun. But despite the improved graphics, fans of No Mercy will ultimately want to go back and play No Mercy.
Here comes the pain. Really.

It was supposed to be a great leap in WWE games on the Gamecube. Instead, more of the same; irritating controls, frustrating gameplay and visuals that don't full reach their potential all add up to an underwhelming game experience. Great concept, you play a new wrestler trying to make it in professional wrestling, putting him through the trials and tribulations of becoming a world champion. Now for the gameplay. Oh boy. Starting out with your character is a tedious experience. Most of the match is spent pressing the A button to try to get up. As you build up your character's attributes, the game gets somewhat easier. Part of the problem is the controls of the game. Counters are hard to pull off, especially if you are on the mat. You are pressing A to get up, but then you have to press L or R to counter either a grapple or strike, and your opponent doesn't exactly "telegraph" their moves. When trying to attack, sometimes your character starts throwing haymakers in the wrong direction, enabling your opponent to casually walk around and get you from behind. Tag matches, Your seemingly invincible opponents become dumb as stump when on your side. In matches where the "special stipulation" is your partner has to get the fall or if you just want keep your opponent's tag partner occupied while your partner gets the win, your partner will sacrifice the win to try to help you out. Visually the game is pretty good, but the clipping is an eyesore. If you make your character big enough, get a belt and the belt will go right through your character. During grapples limbs go through torsos. Another annoyance about the game is that you have to win most matches, or you have to do it over and over. Maybe it would be interesting what would have happened if you had lost? This could have been a great game, especially with the concept of working through the ranks of pro wrestling, but this game just doesn't live up to its full potential.
