This is THE #1 Action/Adventure game of the PS2. Kratos is (excuse my french), one badass motherf*cker! He kills his family on accident, slaughters thru a crapload of beasts, & even takes down a freakin' god. DAMN! The action is highly spectacular, the combos & upgrades are downright badass, & the puzzles are simple yet fun. I recommend this for ALL ages!

When i played this game it got so addicting really fast. when i turned it on for the first time i played for 3 hours straight. The only thing i have to say about it that is not good, is if you are younger than 17(your not supposed to have the game anyway)(Not that i care about those damn rules). In a few of the cinematic videos there is a little bit of female nudity, of course it is in ancient Greece (where women walked aroung topless all the time). Any way, Graphics are great, gameplay is fun, and addictive, control is easily adjusted to and very smooth. I give it a 5 overall, worth every minute of gameplay. This game is the best game ive ever played! Tons of gore, ripping people apart and killing every one you possibly can. This is the best game ever.

this game is by far one of the best ever made playing becomes like watching a movie with fountains of gore play the game on normal at least otherwise it is no fun and it is very hard to get experience onless you play hard excellent game can't wait for the next one

There's still life in the old girl yet. You could mistake this for an Xbox or Game Cube game. Yes, the graphics are amazing! This game has everything from Greek mythology, Gods, girls, swords and monsters. The game can get tough in later levels and some may give up. The only thing I don't like is the button mashing. My hands started to cramp after awhile. There's a sequel in the works so fans rejoice! I picked this up new in the bargain bin for $15. This is a must buy classic!

God of War has 2 things going for it. 1) everything screams 'awsome!' once you get past how awsome everything looks and feels, it grows old quickly. Repeat after me: button mashing. 2) the plot The plot is, while not overly original, VERY well done. It keeps you engaged without being overly conviluted. The game lacks depth, but if all you want is to beat up some monsters for a few minutes after work... then the only thing that could realisticly be asked for is an unlockable level skipping feature so you can play whatever part you want.

i loved this game. it puts alot of games to shame. i became obsessed with this game since i got it, its a definate pick up for gamers who like blood and gore

Wow. I was a little unsure of this game when I first saw the trailer but man this game is unbelievable. When I first got it I couldn't get away from it. It has everything in it, from great graphics to phenomenal gameplay to just pure action and fun. It is not just your typical adventure game. There is blood and gore to go along with the puzzle solving features in the game. The only downside of this game is the camera angles. There are times when you are fighting and sometimes you can't always see what your fighting. But this game just blew me away. It is definitely worth the $50 dollars I paid for it. Any fan of adventure games with absolutely love God of War, one of the best games of 2005.

This game rocks in every way. The graphics rock, it never slows down, or tires you out, and you can climb, balance on poles, swing on ropes, and more. It's a bad-ass Prince of Persia. Those things are all great, but the things I like most about this game are your combos. You can rip, cut, throw, decapatate, and use the magical powers provided to you by the gods. There are also some times when you stun an enemy where you can do a special trick like jump in the Hydra's mouth or jump on someone's back. There's never a dull moment in this game. Plus, just for laughs, you can kill locals. I hate having to do everything locals tell you to do in RPGs, so this is my revenge. Plus, you can do strange things, like sleep with women. You can't do that in many games. Of course, it would still be a 5 without that feature. So in closing... GET IT NOW!!!
