I first thought to myself, another Dynasty Warriors game... After playing a few hours this was no ordinary game. It had much moe detail to the characters. With there own life making different descisions will affect the outcome and much more. The missions are great making it a more action packed stragetic game. An improvement from slashing and only killing from Dynasty games. Also many other surprises that I don't want to ruin.. So buy the game or atleast try it its worth the cash. p.s. its been over a year now am more addicted to it then ever p.s.s. you should also consider samurai warriors extreme legends...
Just as great as any Dynasty warriors game. Or better.

When Dyansty Warriors 4 came out, I thought, "how could it get any better?" well, then came along Samurai Warriors. It's just better than DW4 in almost every way. First, I love the objectives system, which actually gives the levels something to do besides mindlessly killing off soldiers. Second, I love the new fighting controls. These controls open up new moves and combos. Which, by the way, the attacks are much more elaborate. Also, while there are only like 17 characters, they all are much more colorful than those in previous Dynasty Warriors games. They also have a very unique move set. Mo more exact clones of characters like in Dynasty Warriors. the characters also have much mor personality and the voice acting is somewhat better thatn in DW. The weak points of this game are few. The backgrounds, which all of the outdoor battlefields are the same shade of gray. The lighting is also not that great. Also, the challenge modes are not as diverse as those in DW4. (I miss the Bridge Melee). Also, the solider death cries are only like 2 different kinds. It gets annoying after a bit. Lastly, I miss the upbeat rock music from DW, which is absent and replaced by a more feudal-Japan-themed slow and quiet music. It really doesn't sound that great. But, overall, Samurai Warriors is a huge improvement from DW. I love the game and I am still hooked on the game even now. I got it almost 6 months ago. Now let's see if Koei will make Dyansty Warriors games like this in the future...
