Larry, Moe and Curly

I have nothing against the three stoogies but I don't want them backing me up in a fire fight. Your team AI does some of the stupidest things that I have ever seen. Here are just a few examples. Your team bumps into each other and huddles together like a bunch of boy scouts. They walk into your line of fire and I've capped a few in the head. I tell them to open and frag and they run right into their own frag. They get stuck on objects and walk around in circles. Sometimes they do their job right but not very often. I don't mind doing it myself but sometimes you need their help. The graphics have jagged edges and are just okay at best. I have to say though that when the sun is out the look of the game improves. I like this game but it's not up to the standards I expect. It's fun with multiplayer and I'm sure fans will love it. If they improve AI and sharpen up the graphics I would give it the highest mark. I hope the next one is great.

Splinter Cell...but better

After the big commodity that was Splinter Cell and the well recieved Ghost Recon on X-box Live, Ubisoft basically set out to create a combination of these two games for Live. It suceeds for the most part, like Splinter Cell you are lead through very confined levels that allow for you to do very little, but here you command your teams of people to blow open doors and take out terrorists. It is a nice touch that you can use the microphone from X-box Live to command your team but their are menus that are easy to navigate through by holding down the X and A buttons. The A.I. works reasonably well shooting when you tell them to but sometimes they just don't listen. The enemy A.I. puts up a decent fight but sometimes you kill others right in front of them and they won't do anything. Still many of these problems were seen in Splinter Cell and if you liked the single player in Splinter Cell, you will definitely like the single player here. The main focus of the game is really the multiplayer and on X-box Live it suceeds on many levels. You can play through the single player with the ever popular co-op which really does show off some nice cooperative touches that you may have missed playing through alone such as opening two separate doors to a room at once. Team Survival is also a very popular game that plays out like Counter- Strike except without objectives; the brilliantly designed levels more than make up for not having objectives. In some ways RS3 is comparable to Crimson Skies and MechAssault, it provides a very solid single-player but the real fun is with multiplayer on Live.

A blast...best FPS on Xbox so far this year

The previous Tom Clancy FPS games on Xbox (Ghost Recon, Ghost Recon: Island Thunder) are great, but not outstanding. Finally, Rainbow Six 3 comes out and surpasses both of them. There are some good things and some bad things about R63. Firstly, it actually shows the gun in this game, instead of just a reticule in Ghost Recon. The graphics are outstanding, rivaling those of Splinter Cell and Halo. Throwing a flashbang into a room and rushing in is just as fun to me as an all-you-can-eat buffet to my uncle. Enemy and teammate I.Q. could be a few points higher, though. Sometimes, your teammates save your ass from getting a bullet or two dead-on, and sometimes they don't even notice that you're getting massacred about two feet away. Still, they get the job done, and it all couldn't be this much fun withouy the Xbox Live Communicator Headset. Issuing commands to your teammates is that much fun, such as "Open and clear" or "Breach and clear". But, it would've been nice if you could say things like, "Kill that mofo" or "Pop one in his ass". But anyways, R63 is a must-own title, and Xbox Live support makes this game legendary. Even without Xbox Live, the gameplay is fast and furious and is easily one of the best FPS games on the big black-and-green Box.

Not as great as expected

This game is not great at all. Compared to other Tom Clancy games and previous Rainbow Six titles, this game is really bad. First of all, no two teams or four teams like most Rainbow Six's had. The multiplayer (not online) is crap. You can't play split screen? Thats just a bunch of crap. Other than that, the solo missions are pretty good and the online multiplayer support is great. If this game were to have split screen and be more like other Rainbow Six games, this game would of been a lot better. All in all I still like this game. I thought it would be one of the best shooter games I ever played but still, its a Tom Clancy game. They're all fun, even if its not great. Rentable and a must buy if you have Xbox Live.

There's A Pot Of Gold Over This Rainbow!!

GRAPHICS- 5.0...Visuals are blockbusters. Everything is really textured and deatiled in all the right and colorful places. The character Models Are Done Almost too-well!, And everthing else looks absolutely gorgeous!..(Enviroments,weapons,etc.) SOUND-5.0...The music is top-notch and fits the game with it's war sympothy tunes. The sound effects are the real winner though, as you will encounter sweet weapon sounds, excellent voice-acting and cool audio options along the way to freedom! CONTROL- 4.5...While some of the actions on your controller with this game can be hard to pull off and some control configurations are not apparent, The rest of the control factors are great! FUN FACTOR- 4.5...RS3 is an awesome game...everything really shines and does it's job...not to mention the voice control system...x-box live play will surely have you hooked for weeks!.., it's such a shame that some missions aren't so good (a.k.a..stealth mission!)..and that for non- xbox live players that the game can only sometimes make a rental!..aside from those flaws...RS3 is solid and fun!
