i thought it was fun, hope they make sequels. good controls, good fun factor, interesting storyline, they should have more authors write stories for games

I really liked this game. It had a decent storyline and easy to use controls. My main concern is that once you get your "powers", the game becomes WAY to easy, even on the hardest level settings. I was really looking for improvements in the sequels but since Majesco went bankcrupt I guess I'll never get the chance.

If you want a game that is Epic beyond belief this is a game to pick up. The story is presented excellantly and cut scenes aren't something to scorn they're something to look forward to. The combat system is a break through with the right anologe stick switching between targets and causing mayhem. The only problem with this game is the camera which can put up a fight sometimes and halts the fun for a little while. Otherwise this game is a breakthrough with story lines and in third person shooters.

Advent Rising: an amazing story with great gameplay and controls. The Incredible cinematics are just fun to watch but at times you will notice that the game is a little ahead of itself and will start to bog down at times. Although there is a learning curve when playing later is the game because all weapons can only be controlled and applyed thorough the D-pad and can get a little overwhelming in frantic battle. The vehicles and A.I. could have been better but all in all it is surely to be atop ten of 2005.

I don't consider myself a harsh game critic, but when the expectations of a game reach critical mass, I expect the developers to go all out to deliver. Advent Rising is one of those games. Described as an "epic" the story and span of the game are almost too good to be true. Advent delivers as far as action, and sound, but the frame rate of the movement, and CG cut scenes knock off a whole point of what really could have been a 5.0 game. You add the bugs, and the watered down graphics, and you have to knock off another half point which brings this game to a 3.5. Advent was so promising that even I bought into the hype, which I will admit is sort of embarrassing, but overall, it is a good action game with good sound/music and very fast paced action (when it isn't lagging, jumping, and skipping). I think another 5 to 6 months would have gotten at least a 4.5 from me.
