Obviosly you play as the X-men. You acompany a party of up to 4 players, who can be played either by your friends (wich is very fun) or the computer can play the other 3 characters for you while you are the other 1 character. You basically scramble through levels killing all enemys, completeing goals, and helping civilians. The environment is almost all interavtive were u can destroy it, with the possibility of getting items or money. Your characters level up as you kill more enemys, and gives you more stat and skill points to use were you want them. The story revolves around fending off magneto and his team as well as the human army wich doesent like mutants very much :-/ Overall i thought it was a fun game for the time i played it, i think i spent 20-25 hours to beat it but it was fun ;D This was written by the kind folks at http://wiitogether.proboards49.com/

X-men Legends is the best superhero video-game to date (Spiderman 2 is just plain bad!). X-men +awesome cinematics +awesome story + Lots of X-men to choose from +!RPG! +Lengthy= Over perfect experience!! - falling off stuff easily -few save points -cutscenes(mission briefing) make X-men look retarted +Juggernaut=5 out of 5!! - are bad and + are good!

I loved it. The caracters they chose to put in it were awsome. This game is a great multiplayer game. The alternate costums are intersting. The story line was spectacular, the level-up system was greatthe Bosses were tough (but not impossible). A great buy!

THE GAME ENDED TOO EARLY! (I reviewed it before i finished it; the next one had better be longer and with more graphical representation than this one)

this was the best x-men game i have ever played next to the arcade version of x-men. they included gambit, who is the greatest x-man of all time. they just built an awsome game and i like the rpg feel to it. awsome game.

It's done well and has a good assortment of extra stuff to do but it's nothing to get overly excited about. Graphics, 4.0. Gameplay graphics are a mix of cell-shaded characters and 3-D backgrounds. Explosion and mutant power effects are done pretty well. Some slowdown when there is a lot onscreen though. And the cinematic cutscenes look dated. Also I found a small bug with the danger room. You get nothing but a black screen and the UI stuff if you look at the details screen before starting the danger room simulation. Sound, 4.5. Explosions and environmental effects are good. The character voiceovers are done well. Music is ok. Control, 4.5. The controls are well layed out and easy to use. Combos are easy to pull off. The camera controls are a bit wonky though. Gameplay, 3.5. There's nothing really new or innovative here. If you've played any other 3rd person RPG, you've played this one. Character skills are customizable and there's a decent ammount of equipment with various effects. One plus is multiplayer, pretty much the only plus. Decent ammount of unlockables too. All in all, not a bad game. If you're an X-Men fan or a 3rd person RPG nut you'll have a good time with it.

this game is simply stunning. you will have many X-Men on your team to choose from, you can have any four on screen, the game looks like the comics, the charcters are perfectly cel-shaded, the powers are awesome, the fighting is harsh, the Boss Battles are tough, and leveling up is so cool. this game is one of a kind. remember how wolverine looked in X2: Wolverine's Revenge. well, this Wolverine has a resemblance to Hugh Jackman, with a few, better changes. all hte characters look like the ones in the comic and almost everything in the environment is detructible. the danger room has cool exercises and the X-Mansion is huge. i love the way i can play flashback levels by talkin to Beast and Nightcrawler. Activision, you rule!

This game is a must have! It's so great that they've finally made a game for X-Men that is more than just a side scrolling, button bashing, beat-em'-up game! The only gripe that I have is that sometimes the cell shading of the characters looks kinda cheezy, but otherwise this game is quite possibly the best X-Men game ever!
