This was a great game that makes excellent use of a non-linear story line. Allowing the player to explore the entirety of New York City, while scattering random mini-game-esque throughout the map, making the exploration of the map not only fun, but eventful as well. The upgrade system was also very interesting, earning points for all events, story line advancements and random encounters and buying the upgrades made the earning of new techniques very enjoyable. While the story line leaves a little to be desired, the expansive map more than makes up for it. And hooray for the web swinging!

You've seen Spider-Man 2 on the big screen, now be him on your screen. It's Spider-Man as you never seen him before. He a free roaming in New York City. Story - 4.0 It based on the movie's storyline in Spider-Man 2 but with more to do. Spider-Man patrols the city from saving citizens to stopping robbers while living a normal life. It seems like Spider-Man never sleeps. It turns into night and day with Parker trying get the girl, Mary Jane Watson, and keeping up with school while crime fighting. Then while Dr. Otto Octavius is trying to create cheap source of energy, an terrible accident happens...You know the rest. Gameplay - 3.5 A repitive style gameplay with Spider-Man swing from building to building fighting crime with the occansional storyline gameplay coming along when the mission objective are complete. Also you learn and buy new fighting techniques from the comicbook shop. Graphics. 3.25 - Not all that stunning graphics, but they do the job. Although Blackcat looks disturbingly wierd. Overall - 3.75 A memorable game for Spider-Man 2 with it's free roaming feature to it's extent of the city. If you like Spider-Man, you may want to pick this up. Offers a lot of hours to complete the entire game.

This game is awsome! The webslinging is amazing! I love that you can fight classic charecters aside from fighting Doc Ock. The free-roam as an awsome addition to the game and you will find your self looking for the biggest building to jump off of. I highly recommend this game to everyone!

This game is the sure winner for Action game of the year. I don't know why my fellow readers didn't agree. They chose a different game, that was not as good. This game features such good stuff, like over 15 different minigfames you can play at any time you want. You can also fly all over Manhatten, with more than 10 hours of exploring time. A personal favorite trick is to go to the tippy point of the Crysthler Building and swan dive and web at the last second. The graphics are good, but same lame puns are thrown in during battle. My favorite bttle move is tying people up to a lamppost. This game also allows 15 chapters of gameplay, with over 25 quests and special moves to buy. So all those Spidey fans should check out this game, as it's twice as good as the first game.

this is one of the best movie games ever. Good: graphics ( most of the time ), gameplay, story, most of the moves Bad: graphics ( sometimes ),fighting system can be really frustrating sometimes, gameplay can get repetitive ( but u can do everything in different ways, so that's cool), SUPER FRUSTRATING,and some of the pedestrian comments can get boring

Activision has a very good track record with the Spider-Man licence with pretty much every Spidey game made by them being extremely fun, so they can put another check on their list for another great Spider-Man game, but this one is different for it actually lets you do whatever a spider can in a free-roaming Manhattan. As it is said before, before this one, all the Spidey games were very linear. In here it lets you free-roam throughout a full-scale model of Manhattan. Also, unlike the others, you can finally take it to the streets and it is here where you will find the many pedestrians who will give you missions like saving a person about to fall, stopping an armed-car robbery, getting ambushed, and many more. While they can get repetitive, they still are pretty fun and you can skip them if you getting bored of them. A problem to point out though, the actual game is very short and can be beaten pretty fast, but actually finishing the game completely to 100% will take a very long time adding to the replay value. The sound is very-well done with great voice-work from actors from the movie like Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and Alfred Molina. The only problem with the sound is that the music only really plays when you are on missions but when you are just web-swinging there is no music. The controls may seem complicated at first, but after you get used to them they will become second-nature. Also something to note is the new web-swinging system. Finally the webs actually attach to something (like buildings and trees, among other things) rather than the webs just going into straight up into the air like the previous games. It's s a real blast to just web-swing throughout the city with this new swinging system. Spider-Man 2's free-roaming gameplay, top-notch controls, and a new web-swinging system make this the best Spider-Man game yet. After all, who wouldn't want to do whatever a spider can?

This is New York, the blessed city of the most amazing super hero, spiderman. While superman is wondering over Metropolis spiderman is inmersed in the streets, jumping, zipping, and solving crimes. One of the finest games out there. The downside the alternate missions are repetitive. Botom Line: its like gta with web swing, its a big, fun and long to complete.
