This was one of the first games I bought when I first got my Xbox. I had it for about 4 months before I decided I would trade it in. Unless youre really into Counter-Strike or have Live, youre not going to want to keep this game around forever.

The game is a console remake of Counter-Strike Condition Zero. Most people hated it for some reason, I for one liked it, and this version. It let me get a real good feel of what Counter-Strike was like before I bought it for PC. If you dont have Live, its good to just goof around and waste about an hour playing. But after that, it goes right back into the case. The bots, of course, can be level adjusted. To be honest, theres not much in terms of gameplay unless you have Live. The addition of a single player mode like the PC version would have been nice. And if they had left Office and Inferno unlocked, it might have been worthwhile. The inclusion of a profile system is good if you have a friends that wants to try it out. Which I didnt.

The graphics are between CZ and Source, but more towards CZ. The levels are the same as the PC versions which can be a little bit of a let down, but like I said, it helped me get a feel of them before I bought the PC versions. The skins, at least, can be selected, instead of just running around as the Seal Team 6. But they tend to look a little bit goofy and blocky. The guns look the same just as in all the other versions.

The sound is pretty good, the sounds are recycled though. The bots sound different from one another which is a slight plus. Guns sound real. Footsteps, flashlight click, environment sounds, its all there. The addition of custom soundtracks is awesome. I can remember fragging to Nonpoint when I had this game. You may want to put on something with high energy rather than slow songs.

The value, like I said, may not last long unless you have Live or a hardcore CSS fan. Now that I am a hardcore CSS fan, I wish I still had this game.

Im gonna have to give the reviewers tilt a slight nudge up. Only because this is a Counter-Strike game I reviewing. And CS pwns.

Lets face it. The graphics suck balls but thats not really important. The gameplay is fun and there are a variety of weapon, grenades and shields you can buy. Planting a bomb has never been this fun.

counter-strike is a fun game at first but is a piece of crap after 5min of play because of no story and 2 player ? wtf.

GREAT GAME! PLayed it on single player.. eh..it was ok. I hooked up to XBOXLIVE later and WHOA! sweet deal! Just like the PC game, it is one of the best shoot 'em up games ever.

This Game is the Bomb!!! If you dont like it then you don't have XBOX Live. This game brings out the best online!!

Well i got this for christmas and i'm reviewing it now. I cant stop playing it its so good. Custom soundtracks amazing graphics XBOX LIVE! Great sound smart AI(when u put it on a harder skill level) You can download more maps with xbox live too! I definently giving it a five. Better than computer because: 1.You can talk alot easier i mean how many ppl have mic's online with the computer??? 2. better graphics soun everything. 3. custom soundtrakcs without LAG. 4.Easy to be admin=Can kick people easy. 5.SINGLE PLAYER<<

when this game came on the pc secene back in 1999 it was and still best pc game ever made. and people will think that porting this pc classic to the xbox woukd be great with the xbox live paly and all but know what this games sucks!! theres no camoign mode the two game types suck and you'll get borad of this easy. if you want hot c-t action get the pc version and youll have a grand oll time

this game is for kids it sucks it is too much of easy graphics they straight the aliies do every dang thing try socom 2 instead or metal gear2

Now I am covering Multi Player only. Seriously if you dont have Xbox LIVE then I wouldnt bother with this game. It is all about the teamwork on the Multiplayer side. The graphics on the maps are really nice and the lighting effects are great but the charicter models are low poly count. I understand that the players were kept low to keep the firefights from getting too much slowdown/lag. COme and buy this game is good

I bought this thinking it was going to be like Socom or Castle Wolfenstein, my mistake. This is more like the game Unreal which I hate. Needless to say I didn't like Counter Strike. As a one player game it's very shallow. You go on missions with BOTS and they seem to do most of the work. You can buy weapons at the beginning of the mission but that just gets in the way. The game looks great but that's spoiled by odd enemy AI. They tend to be a little jumpy in the animation department. I'm sure it's a great game online but I don't have broadband. If you like Unreal type games and have Xbox live then you may love it. I won't play it again unless I get online.
